DVD Collectors Online

Something was suggested on SMF forum by someone who requested this.  I wonder if it would be difficult to program as a mod to the forum.  His idea was to add a button at the top of a thread, beside the "Notify" button that would be called "Notify Now".  When someone edits his/her post he/she would click the button and it would send an email or mp to everyone who has subscribed to the thread.

The other possibility that I see is to take the Marathons (just the marathons, not the discussions) out of the forum and build our own system but I would need help from other programmers, I don't have the time to do this all by myself.

We are only talking about the monthly marathons where more of us participate. The individual marathons get pushed up every time a new review is done anyway.

IMO it is sufficient that only the Marathon thread itself is pinned. For one thing the discussion thread has (hopefully) a lot of activity and will automatically show up in the top. Also I have it linked in the first post of the marathon thread.
