I now live 18 miles to the south on the coast.

Like Cellophane, I am a native Californian, born close to where he lives now (Palo Alto Hospital, now Stanford Hospital), and, like him, remaining in northern California.

Given the political climate of this country, I often feel like we of a San Franciscan political bent are viewed as bizarre by our native country.

Also native Californian, Riverside County, but I didn't stay there. Father was military, moved quite a bit and also joined the military. Upon getting out of the military, lived in southern Oregon for a while, but now call the greater Seattle, Washington area home.
