Have you considered posting something at Invelos about this site? Perhaps something as simple as an invitation to pop in with the link?

I'd be more than happy to do it, but don't want to if you do want me to.

If you do decide to do that I'll be happy to post a reply encouraging others to come join the "fun"

Truth be said: I didn't do it because I don't know how Ken feels about the reason this site was started in the first place.  If the man is angry at me for that then it doesn't seem right to use his forum to attract visitors to mine.  I only put a link in my signature over there hoping that some would click on it.

Feel free to do so if you'd like, I really have no problems with that.  As far as this forum turning into a mess like Invelos can be sometimes, I am not worried.  Although I believe in freedom of speach, I also believe that this freedom should be exercised with respect so I won't have much tolerance for endless flows of insults.

If it becomes necessary we can have moderators.

The way I see it that old site is gone. You've even deleted (or at least hid  ) all of the negative threads.

I didn't say Ken didn't like how the site started, as far as I know he's never posted anything about it and he never wrote to me about this or anything else.  I'm only saying that IF he didn't like that, it wouldn't be right for me to use his site for advertisement.

I said I would remove anything related to that issue so I did.  All those sections were permanently removed from the forum.  There would have been no point in wasting disc space with that.

I wouldn't worry about Ken not liking the reason this site was started. He's mentioned quite a few times that he's got a thick skin (you have to, when you have developed an application with such a fanatical following), and there's been some very harsh comments made somewhat directly at Ken saying how the database is not optimized and stuff like that.

And anyway, this site is turning into quite a pleasant place to be! As opposed to certain other communities..

Not sure I'd want to see what is said in the Contribution Rules Committe forum...

Trust me you don't.  I actually stopped participating because I feel it's going nowhere.  Endless flow of insults and same arguments repeated over and over.  It should be moderatedto to be efficient.

I actually wanted to propose a new rule about bilingual profiles in the Canada and Canada (Quebec) localities but it was just a waste of time because (I think) I was the only canadian there and nobody wanted to discuss it since it doesn't affect them

Don't worry Lyonsden5, I was not at all offended.  I only wanted to make it clear that the "old stuff" had been deleted if any other user decides to come back here.  I thought it would have left a doubt if I didn't reply
