Thanks all. I wouldn't call it a "special" day, but I made a point to try and get it to stand out a little.

Every year someone asks me if I "feel older" as if a week ago I was doing cartwheels and today I'm using a cane   Obviously the transformation isn't so obvious to anyone, but I would say that I do feel older this year than last due to problems with my eyes that began in January.

I also always tell people who joke that I am getting old something I have said since I was a kid: Growing up I never saw my dad as "old" even though he was much older than all of my friends' dads meaning they would think of him as old. I have always said that I will never be old until I reach my father's age... and he just keeps getting older My father is 87 years old.
