I have always wished that people from other countries would mention their holidays as they come around.

After my first few years online, I started to think it odd that I am talking and reading messages from people all over the world, but I never heard anything about others' holidays. I rarely even hear about Hanukkah anymore.
I have a collection.

I am German, so Christmas is supposed to be my holiday... Here in Taiwan we have Chinese New Year (3 days holiday, usually a week off), Tomb Sweeping Day (Taiwanese literally clean their ancestor's graves), Dragon Boat Festival in summer, Moon Festival in September and October 10, called Double Ten, is National Day.

In Germany we have the basic Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter. I believe the only holidays not based on Christianity are May 1st (International Workers' Day) and Oct 3rd (Reunification Day).

But we have 20 to 30 vacation days a year.

Sorry for the late wishes as I left home in a hurry saturday... Don't worry nothing bad happened as it was to pass the long weekend with my nephews ;D

Hope you all had a great Christmas time with your familly like I did ;D
