I felt it was the time to open it even if it is a little bit early, but some of us are ready to start and want to see the october first happenning faster...

Most people know the drill, but just in case you don't...

The goal is to watch horror movies (DUH!) during this month. How many movies you'll watch isn't important (but it's always fun to break our personal record) and what you'll watch isn't either (film, TV episode, documentary,...). What is important is to have fun... anyway this is what we always want here.

This topic is the one to post your reviews and discussion about the marathon. Of course you are free to create your own marathon thread as I and Pete do every year.

Another thread is for the scorecard of what you'll watch.

P.S : Karsten I count on you to stick this thread and the scorecard one.

Tom

I am thinking about participating a little for the first time. I am not much of a horror movie fan. But I could do a mini-marathon. I have a handful of movies I am the mood to watch again.

Jimmy

You can always place some science fiction films if horror isn't your favorite genre. As long as it has alien invaders it count... even something like Plan 9 or Earth vs. the Flying Saucers or The Pod People would do the trick.

Tom

I made a list of movies which I am considering to watch. I will certainly not manage to watch all of them, but if there is a movie someone would like me to review, I will consider giving it a higher priority.

Thanks Sam and Jim! And sorry for the post! :)
No problem, I just prefer to keep it clean of discussion because it's more pleasant for the eyes when all the score cards are one after the other.

I expected to see you enter as you seem to be a big horror fan ;D

Jimmy

In case someone recognized the place in the picture... we never know some don't live that far from there.

It's an abandoned subway station at Newark (NJ), you can learn more about it here.

See even an horror marathon is an opportunity for learning

Piffi

I will make my "horrorfest" list a few days before October i think.. ;)
Gotta join, not that i will be watching as much as you guys tho.
And prolly not the horror movies you guys like  :-[

I never make a list ahead of time. I just watch whatever I am in the mood for when the time comes. I have my old favorites that I must watch every year... and then I have a load of horror in my collection that I never seen before. Not to mention all the Halloween episodes of many... many TV Series that I have to watch.
Pete

Piffi

I understand you :) got a few personals aswell i have to see.
But i dont watch much tv-shows with any halloween or horror :\
But i got alot of new horror movies tho, that i cant wait to watch :D
