There are several I am waiting for, the first two that sprang into mind were:

Notre Dame de Paris (1956)
I am Sam

The first never was released on DVD in Germany the second is OoP and only available at tremendous prices.

One of my favorite non-Duke westerns is Man Without A Star.  I think it's been released in Europe, possibly, but not in North America.  It stars Kirk Douglas who even gets to sing and play the banjo in this movie.  A very lively film.  Claire Trevor is in this, too, I think.  This is the only movie off the top of my head I can think of.  Of course, if we went to TV series, I could name Lawman and How The West Was Won and a whole bunch of others...

The Hong Kong release is NTSC and region free of that helps you Roger?

You may want to check at EZY-DVD Australia.
The product description has some inconsistencies though: NTSC is required for playback but it is supposed to be Region 4 only.  :stars:
AFAIK Australia has PAL so NTSC and Region 4 only wouldn't go together all too well.

It wouldn't surprise me actually. A lot of earlier Oz releases (Warner titles in particular) were dual encoded region 1/4 or even 1/2/3/4 and the same disc used in South America/US/Australia.

Here's a bunch of reviews of such titles at MichaelDVD:

I got one of those Hong Kong releases once and I wasn't too happy with the quality so I'll just wait and hope for an official North America release while hoping it shows now and then on cable TV...
