My dvd budget is already spent on pre-order for the next two months :(

But while checking the price between them and Amazon UK, I was unable to resist and I pre-order one for may (one spot was free on my budget this month ;D).

This one was highly recommanded to me by many friends, it's only available here via the MGM MOD program but paying 20$ for a DVD-R isn't my cup of tea. So this one will became my first imported Blu-Ray (and my first real one too).

Would I have the permission to say it's your fault Jon when I will get it?

Well since Jon started this thread..and put attention for you..I'd say you can. :)

But I may not be impartial here since Jon is to blame for so many of my recent purchases.   ;)

Just a warning: If the Blu-ray is region-locked, then you won't be able to play it on US Blu-ray players.

Ha! Yes, I'll take the blame for that one, I might take a look myself. Meanwhile, sign up to their newsletter. They have a blown out every Monday and Blus can drop to a fiver. Those Bfi ones come up regularly if you do fancy them one day.

I think he has a proper multi region player, Tom. I bloody want one too.  :(

Jimmy

My Blu-Ray reader is an all region one, just 4 numbers to enter to choose the region I want it to be (A,B or C). I was lucky when I fell on this one last december ;D

Tom

Then it's good :)
Hadn't heard of a region-free Blu-ray player before. But I haven't checked for awhile. I am happy with my Region B player as (contrary to DVDs) the selection and price of UK and German Blu-rays can easily compete with the US.

Jimmy

Mine isn't the only brand who have this capacity, but it isn't as common as it was for the DVD reader and unless you're lucky when you buy one (as I was) a lot of research is necessary before finding one.

Too bad I can't direct you to a place to order the one I have, because it was a Walmart Canada exclusivity and it's sold out (of course ebay is always there, but personally I wouldn't buy electronics trough them).
