I'm having another one of those days... I have tons of stuff in my unwatched pile... but I am sitting here feeling bored... but yet looking at the list of titles in my collection I don't see anything I am in the mood to watch!  :surrender:

I have the opposite problem. I got a big shipment from yesasia today and I would be in the mood to watch all of them now. And I also am in the mood for a couple of different TV series.

I decided to work on some TV Series child profiles. Finishing up the child profiles right now for Ghost Whisperer: Season 5. :)

Unfortunately, thanks to working crazy hours, I haven't had much time to watch any DVDs for like a month.
I'm hoping to change that soon.  I decided to watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade tonight...have it on now.  Not sure if I'll watch another DVD..or something from my DVR after this.

I am now sitting her trying to decide what (if anything) I want my theme for this weekend's movie marathon to be. So far I can't think of anything good I would be in the mood for.

Anyone have any good ideas for me?

How about "Movies That DIDN'T Star Sandra Bullock"?

The Best Films of Scott Baio?  Oh wait, we're still waiting for the first...  :tease:

Obviously, I have no real idea  :stars:

my problem is I don't want to limit myself to a too small of a selection of titles. And I also want to be able to watch New titles that I never seen before as well as some of my old favorites that I may have seen before,

At this point I am thinking about TV Stars in the Movies... where I could go through the main cast all the TV series I have on DVD and see what movies I have with them in it. I think that could be enjoyable... and with 138 series that I have every episode of alone... I am sure there is anywhere from 300 to 600 titles I could choose from easily. And I would imagine there would be many of that I never seen before.

You don't want to limit yourself? Then how about a "DVD Profiler's Movie-Pick" marathon. Whatever comes up in movie pick, that's what you watch..
PSST... you can pre-filter for good stuff before using Movie Pick

I hate that movie pick thing... I personally thought it was the worst addition Ken made to the program. In my eyes it is nothing but a waste of space. Being in the mood for the title that I watch is the only way I could enjoy a marathon. I can't feel forced to watch anything in any particular order... when I try something like that is usually when my marathons are a big failure as I just hate to mess with it.

I even went as far as removing the button for it from the toolbar. :P

Not a big fan of it too. At first it looks like a nice addition, but the movie choosen are always in the same style. What I mean is that if I use it to pick adult movies to watch and it choose an eighties one first all the following one will be eighties productions from almost the same years.

How about a Not United States marathon? I don't want to say "Foreign" and make you watch all subtitles, but you must have a selection now of Canadian, British, etc, to make up a run. Obviously I'm trying to give you an excuse to watch Notes on a Scandal...

still wouldn't be able to watch Notes on a Scandal yet.... she hasn't even mailed the package yet! She hasn't even filled the box up all the way yet (I don't think)!  :P

I'm making these totally blind, not knowing what you'd done before:

- Martial Arts
- [Insert actor] cameo films
- Slapstick comedies
- Films based in [insert country]
- Feature-length tv episodes
- Moves that end in a negative tone
- Movies with an animal as a secondary character (eg: the monkey in Outbreak)
- Films with women that can kick ass
- Sports films
- Burt Reynolds movies (there are 90 or so of those )
- X degrees of Kevin Bacon films (depends on the number of movies you want to watch; the last being a movie with Kevin Bacon)
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

Wow, Deja Vu! I'm sure I suggested something like this ages ago to try and make a more random marathon. But more like, pick a random film and make a connection to Kevin Bacon with every step and see how many films you can get to in your marathon. It only ends when you can't make a jump to anything else... or something like that anyway.
