Achim

I have never seen Bambi :bag:

I know Disney does superb Blu-ray transfers. However, I am tone each time one of the classics is released, as I already own a few on DVD (which also look good). So far I have been successful convincing myself to stick to DVD, becausecI know once I switch to Blu I will eventually upgrade the ones I have already :slaphead: Alice is on my Wish List already, maybe Bambi will end up there as well.

:P don't worry Achim, i saw bambi when I was 4 years old, I did not cry about its mother and I don't remember any of it... this will be the first time I really watch it.

Jimmy

All your talking about Bambi make me think at a movie that was sadly never made :(
Who Killed Bambie? A project cooperation between Russ Meyer and The Sex Pistols about the band. Some parts were filmed, but Malcolm McLaren was unable to get the money to continue the project.

Just pass an order at Diabolik DVD for the end of april... Sorry Karsten for using them more often, but their price are good and they ship sooner than amazon canada

Marcy (Code Red)

This erotic, exploitation drama tells the tale of a farm girl who  encounters a New York sleazeball and joins up with the  notorious lesbian. Cruel rumors begin to surface in the small  town, so Marcy is forced to make a choice between her two  worlds. A totally real experience in the exploration of human  emotions, passions, and desires! From Director Joe Sarno

Julie Darling (Code Red)

A teenage girl with a fixation on her father witnesses the rape  and murder of her mother, whom she despised. Years later,  her father remarries. Despising her stepmother and  step-brother as much as she did her real mother, Julie begins  plotting her new mom and brother's demise, all in an effort to keep daddy all to herself.

Wich countains those films
Savage Beach
L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies: Return to Savage Beach
Picasso Trigger
Malibu Express
Hard Ticket to Hawaii
Hard Hunted
Guns
Fit to Kill

and a more mainstream set that could interest Pete if he doesn't own all the individual release yet of course ;)

4 Movie Marathon: Cult Horror Collection

I got this one mostly because of Phantasm 2 that cost more than this set if bought individually.

Edit : The Funhouse is the only film I don't have yet from the three I watched the first time I've seen an horror film at a cinema (kind of, as I've already said a couple of time here it was in a church basement). But from what I remember it's mostly a kid movie

That 4 movie horror set looks good... and I don't have either of the 4 movies in it. :)

All Your fault Jimmy... I blame you for this one! :P I couldn't help but pre-order this one as well. The only movie in this set I ever seen before is Phantasm 2... but that has been many years (VHS days!). So I don't even really remember that one either.

they even thought of you by naming the collection "4 movies marathon" ;)

I wanted to get Phantasm II because I own the part 1 and 3 since they were released by Anchor Bay, but the single release was too costly for a film release with no extra. This set cost less than 10$ so I don't feel too guilty this time

Jimmy

Finally those two appear at Amazon Canada so my pre-order is done for may.

Firstly my usual Corman's film

and one I was waiting for since it was first announce an uncut master was found and work on two years ago.

I almost feel like blaming Jon for a Blu-ray purchase, but I'll give him a pass since I wanted this film for so long

Kathy

It seems poor Jon is getting blamed any time someone orders a DVD/

Jimmy

I'm lucky for that since it's rare that someone order something I order, got or review
I don't know a lot of people who are willing to take chances out of their confort zone (you being an exception of course Kathy).

The blame Jon for the Blu-Ray is something that Marie started and since Jon convince me to try the format I've decided to blame him also... In a non-serious way of course

Dragonfire

Well I started blaming him because his posting about a few Blu-rays convinced me to get them too.  So I just decided to make it easier and blame him for all Blu-ray purchases I make.  It works well too.   ;D

He is also to blame for my Doctor Who addiction..and Torchwood...and Top Gear.  and..well..basically any show from England.  He has accepted the blame for Doctor Who and Top Gear.

That reminds me...I just ordered the Torchwood sets from Amazon.  Blu-ray deal of the week.  The Blus were cheaper than the DVDs.  I thought about it for the whole week..decided to get them.  So..that's Jon's fault too.  Along with the Doctor Who books I've gotten.

I really should just start a thread called Jon's fault.  Because there will be more.   :hysterical:

I've finally seen the first few episodes of Being Human...now I'm going to have to get that one too..something else Jon is to blame for.   ;D

Jimmy

I can imagine him in front of his computer openning our forum and seeing (SP?) a new whatyougot or pre-order message thinking what I will be blame for this time

You know he is responsible for making me import the Confession of... boxset years ago, but I can blame him for that. In fact I'm more thankfull than anything

Dragonfire

 :hysterical:

Shhhhhh.....don't tell him, but I'm thankful for Doctor Who too. :)
