Surprising when we know how I was against the format not that long ago (even going in some heated argument)

But I must say that even without all the equipment needed there is a little amelioration. Too bad I can't take screencapture to show the difference with Vampire Circus, not that the dvd transfert isn't awesome but...

I remember. :)
It will only get better once you're able to get a HD TV.

 Which, of course, will make you feel the urgent need for Hi-Def TV programs. So you will need either a new satellite-dish or an upgrade of your cable-provider. By then you will have noticed that the sound coming from your TV is insufficient, so you will go hunting for nice (at least) 5.1 speaker set with optical in ... (to be continued)  :P

At least I'm safe for this part since the cable is part of my rent and I don't pay or deal with Videotron (the company who do the service here).

I haven't gotten any different sound system.  Yes it would be nice, but I'm ok with what I have.

Star Wars Trilogy: Episode IV - VI (Releasedate 30.09.2011)

Achim

You order almost nine months before release :o

I wonder if they do this so early to estimate demand and be able to print an adequate quantity :hmmmm:

Mustrum_Ridcully

It seems I'm not alone.
The complete series has already conquered #1 in the DVD-charts of Amazon.de.

RossRoy

I'm a heretic - I preordered the whole saga on Blu.

edit: of course, I'm talking about Star Wars ;)

Just did a pre-order for march at Diabolik DVD and I think that one could interest Pete also

On the eve of Christmas vacation, a college dormitory stands condemned the dark halls now vacant and unsafe. Student Joanne Murray and her close friends volunteer to help close down the building, unaware a psychopathic lunatic is hiding in the shadows. As the students disappear one by one, Joanne discovers the horrifying reality that if she is to survive, she alone will have to find a way to slay the brutal murderer. If you think you ve seen this film totally uncut think again! Synapse Films is proud to present THE DORM THAT DRIPPED BLOOD in a never-before-seen alternate version containing additional scenes, extended gore sequences, and a different sound mix. This transfer was created from the only existing 35mm answer print of the original Directors Cut entitled DEATH DORM, a version of the film thought to have been lost for over thirty years.

DVD NTSC Region 1
Blu-Ray Region A
Anamorphic Widescreen (1.66:1) Transfer of the Directors Cut
Audio Commentary Featuring Directors Jeffrey Obrow and Stephen Carpenter
Interviews with Composer Christopher Young and Make-Up FX Creator Matthew Mungle
Original Theatrical Trailers;
DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono Audio track.

It was made in 1982 but never seen uncut (only an awfull cheap cut bootleg taken from a vhs tape is available) and it's the first film of Daphne Zuniga.

Maybe you have seen the cut version under the Pranks title?

addicted2dvd

Possible... but if so it has been so many years I don't remember it.

Some pre-order I just did this morning.

This one is to reach the free shipping limit, but it wasn't pricy and Céline Lomez star in it (I don't think anyone except Sébastien know who she is, maybe Kevin too since he is Canadian)
