DVD Collectors Online

As most of you already know, I won the Find-DVD.UK review contest for the month of August.

What you don't know is that, being in R1, I was caught in a catch-22 concerning my prize. Because Play.com has a USA version of their website, if you live in R1, you can't set up an account with their UK site. You are automatically redirected to the USA site.

The £200 voucher I won is only valid on their UK site.

So I was caught between a rock and a hard place. The DVDs I wanted were R2, but I couldn't use the voucher to buy them myself.

So I PM'd Jon and asked him if he could help me out, and he agreed.

I made a list of DVDs that I wanted to buy and sent him the code for the £200 voucher. He ordered them for me, and the final set came in today.

He's shipping them out to me this week.

I just want to say that we have a true and honest friend here at DCO, and I'm glad to have gotten to know him.

I didn't realize Play.com has a US site.  I think I've only ever seen the UK site load up for me.  Hmm.

Trust me, you don't want to use them. Before I realized I couldn't use the voucher there, I picked out some DVDs and was shocked by the prices. They're at least 10 - 15% above the MSRP on all their DVDs. Huge ripoff!
