Jimmy

Wow that sound is anoying... They do that all the game?

Antares

That's as good as a win for the USA.  :yahoo:

I was just looking at the groupings. Germany pretty much has a cakewalk through the first round.

Haha, when I posted that facebook group calling for a ban of the horns earlier it had 3,635 fans. It now has 7,958
It's good to see we are not the only ones bothered by this.

It's over 83,000 fans now.

Dragonfire

Sounds like most people don't like those annoying horns.

Critter

Wow that group sure has grown in numbers. I wonder how long it will be until it hits 100,000? Nothing will come from it though. Apparently the horns are part of "South African Culture" despite the fact that they have only been using them since the 90's...

Kathy

Anyone heard anything about the balls sucking? There has been lots of discussion locally that the Adidas ball is despised by the players, especially the goalies, and may have contributed to several losses.

kahless

This ball is called Jabulani
I also heard some criticism about this ball.

RossRoy

Yeah, I heard the players think it feels like playing with a beach ball.

But I say "So what?" Every team plays with the same ball, so they all have the same advantage/disadvantage...

Oh I missed the goal with my shot! Must be the ball... No way in hell I kicked it 1cm too much to the left...

It was all the same story with the FoxTrax puck back then. The players complained that the puck had too much rebound.. So what? You're professional players. Adapt! You're supposed to be the best there is. So what if the puck comes back at 2mph faster than it used to?

Bunch of crybabies I tell ya...

[spoiler]
Yes, this is somewhat exagerated!
I do think elite athletes are a bunch of crybabies. "Oh my hockey stick is 3 grams too heavy, I can't play with that, the puck would go 1 degrees too far to the right when I shoot"  ::)

Dragonfire

I heard someone making a joke about the ball complaints, but I didn't know what was supposed to really be wrong with it.

Current total stands at 172,585 people, from all countries of the world, pissed off at little plastic horns. Wow, who would have thought something like that could bring all those people together in such a strange way?

kahless

There is an increasing number of groups worldwide to demand a vuvuzela ban - but it won't help. Sepp Blatter (the FIFA president) refuses to even think about it.
