I wouldn't mind if it was every now and then but it's just how constant it is that bothered me. It sounds like a swarm of one million giant bee's had invaded the pitch. Oh well, there goes watching anymore of the World Cup for me probably (unless I want migranes).

FIFA better put a stop to it, or they're ratings, outside of those watching it in a pub, will suffer.

It seems we are not alone on this, this Facebook group already has 3,635 fans.

Here in Germany they are selling those annoying things everywhere! 

At least in Hamburg it is forbidden to use these at public events!

It's good to see we are not the only ones bothered by this.

I can see how annoying it can be on television. But, if I were in the stands I would be tooting too!

Apparently some of the teams coaches have banned it during trainings becuase they were unable to audibly speak to their players. I can only imagine it would be just as bad on the actual pitch. Noise at football game is expected, cheering, chanting on teams etc, but through the literally constant drone of these horns you can't even hear cheering. Certainly this must be ruining the game for many people, all the fantastic atmosphere has been traded for one long annoying sound.

I'll tell you this, South Africa will never see the World Cup again.

Or probably the entire african continent...

...But England played Japan and won because Japan scored two own goals... Oh well, there is still who knows how long left  it could change.

...I just walked into the front room (where the game is playing) and all I could hear was buzzzzzzzz

my first reaction was to go into shock and look for wasps (I have a phobia of them) ....then I realised it wasn't a swarm of wasps it was those horns
