Im in Coventry Jon, We now have a nice layer of snow! my bus cut out 10 minutes of its journey on the way home... it even got stuck pulling out of the bus station 

That's all the snow there is around here...

Some of the snow piles around here - mostly in parking lots - are taller than me.

Well Buffalo is now the sunshine state. There is no snow, the sun is shining and Canadian geese are back.

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. 70 degrees and sunny. Perfect!

OK... I got to ask... What is the deal over here in Maryland?

At 5:30 this morning the phone rings. It is the Board of Education... a recorded message. "Schools in Somerset County will be Closed today."

So I get up... turn on the outside light and look outside. It is drizzling outside... but no snow at all. Not freezing... but yard flooded from all the rain we been getting lately. And no fog outside.

So what is the deal with the schools around here? Are they now afraid that the kids will get their feet wet? Schools didn't close like this when I went to school!
