This has actually nothing to do with this movie, but I saw a promo showing that the recent direct-to-DVD GL animated film is premiering on The Cartoon Network tonight. I haven't seen it so maybe I will check it out.

I thought that version of the GL movie was already out  :stars:

Yes, it came out on DVD first...but now Cartoon Network is airing it for the first time.  I saw most of it (between flipping between it and a football game) and it was pretty interesting though I missed the first 20 minutes or so of it.  I was disappointed that all the other Green Lanterns were in it.  If it was Hal's first adventure as GL, it should've been just him on Earth.

Well it sounds pretty cool, I may have to take a look at it at some point.

I have that DVD... I enjoyed it... but that is the one thing I did have against it.

actually I disagree there. It more branched out on his origins, considering that he was givin the ring cuz another lantern was killed. plus, you get to see the first time at GL corp, the guardians, him actually trusting Sinestro for a little while.

And a good point was made in the beginning. it works by thought, so it wouldn't be much of a movie with him just figuring it out. I mean, once you activate it, you kinda just get the hang of it

:o That is very good! How the buggery bollocks did they get Nathan Fillion in so seamlessly? Blimey, they'll soon be able to make films without the actors knowing...

Wow that fan made trailer is awesome!

But I'm having a blank moment - where is that music from? I've heard it before, but I can't remember where..

Sometimes reading a video description pays off :bag:

The music is "Forces of Destiny" and "Freedom Fighters" by Two Steps from Hell.
You may recognize "Freedom Fighters" from the the recent "Star Trek" trailer.
