The Three Musketeers, a review by DJ Doena

Charlie Sheen    ...    Aramis
Kiefer Sutherland   ...    Athos
Chris O'Donnell   ...    d'Artagnan
Oliver Platt   ...    Porthos
Tim Curry   ...    Cardinal Richelieu
Rebecca De Mornay   ...    Lady Sabine DeWinter

Synopsis: The Musketeers are disbanded and the protection of the french king is done by the Cardinal's personal guard. But he plans to assassinate the young king and take his place. But there are three Musketeers that won't give up: Athos, Porthos and Aramis - and a young man who wanted to join the Musketeers: d'Artagnan. Together they fight to protect the king: One for all and all for one.

My Opinion: I've been loving sword movies for a long time. Scaramouche, The Three Musketeers, The Man in the Iron Mask, The Count of Monte Christo. I watched them all long before they were remade in the nineties. This one I also enjoyed very much, but mainly due to the three original Musketeers and the brilliant Tim Curry. And I love the song sung by Brian Adams, Sting and Rod Stewart. I can listen to it every day. The Three Musketeers was one of my favourite childhood books.

The most acclaimed and revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers. Michael hasn't been seen for four years after the events of Halloween Kills. Laurie lives with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and has chosen to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. When a young man is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, a cascade of violence and terror is ignited with a final confrontation between Laurie and Michael unlike any ever captured on screen.

  • Deleted Scenes
  • Featurettes

My Thoughts:

I went into this one with pretty high expectations, but the beginning of the movie had me a bit worried as there was so little Michael. As the story went on the more I got into it. The more I realized where they were going with it. And the more I was enjoying it. Over all well worth the time put in to watch it. I ended up really enjoying it.

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 4

15. Orpheus
Original Air Date: 3/19/2003
While in their drug-induced comas, Angelus and Faith (guest star Eliza Dushku) experience flashbacks of Angel's good deeds over the centuries; Fred calls in Willow, the only person ever able to restore Angel's soul and asks her to help them do it again.

Guest Stars:
Alyson Hannigan
Eliza Dushku

My Thoughts:
Woohoo... now we have Willow in an episode! She was always one of my favorites on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She made a good vampire too in the alternate universe. With Willow here... this is obviously the last of the Angelus storyline. My favorite storyline for the entire series. I really liked everything about this episode... but I especially enjoyed the Angelus/Faith flashbacks.

My Rating:
