Year: 2000
Director: Bonnie Hunt

Subtitles: English, French, Spanish

Stars:
David Duchovny

Plot:
Who knew that when he ordered the special, he'd get the dish of his life? David Duchovny ("The 'X'-Files") and Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting) ignite sparks in this "warm-hearted winner" (Jeff Craig, Sixty Second Preview) about a widower and a waitress who meet and fall in love. Featuring an incredible all-star cast, this hilarious romantic comedy delivers a lot of laughs, tears and joys that will make your spirits soar.

It took a lot of coaxing to get Bob (Duchovny), a recently widowed architect, to go on a blind date at a quirky Irish-Italian eatery. Once there, he's smitten instantly...not with his date, but with the sharp-witted waitress, Grace (Driver). With unsolicited help from Grace's match-making Grandfather (Carroll O'Connor), Bob asks her out. And as their relationship blossoms, everything seems to be going great, until an unbelievable truth is revealed...one that could easily break both of their hearts for good.

My Thoughts:
This one has some good cast in it... so I was looking forward to checking it out. But what I didn't realize until I was a good half way through the movie is that this is a movie I caught a very small part of years ago at a relative's house but never knew what it was. They had it on cable when I went and it drew me in pretty quick... but we left shortly after we got there... and I never found out what it was. So not only was this a good movie... it is one I been wanting to see for several years now.

I found this one to be a great story... very moving and fun at the same time. I like how they showed it as the heart being much more then a muscle that pumps blood. That there is something there... something special... something recognizable. This is one I definitely recommend... if you haven't seen this movie before... give it a chance.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

In this pleasant romantic comedy from Korea, Jin-Soo (Lee Jung-Jea from Il Mare) is a TV weatherman who is suffering from partial amnesia after a tragic accident. Now he only has vague memory of someone he loves deeply and vows to find that woman. His search leads him to Yeon-Hee (Chang Jin-Young), his high school friend who is trying to forget her latest ex-boyfriend. With Yeon-Hee's help, Jin-Soo begins to solve the mystery, only to find that he has gradually fallen in love with Yeon-Hee instead. Over The Rainbow is both a charming and romantic mystery and a thoughtful tale about past and present loves.

My Thoughts:
A nice romantic comedy about a guy, who has partial amnesia after a car accident, trying to figure out who the girl is of which he has a vague memory of being in love with her. It's a nice feel-good movie.

This is another series which was cancelled early. But here they at least got a chance to a last two-parter to conclude the main storylines of this season. Which is a luxury not a lot of series get to do in similar circumstances.
So they had to put a lot of stuff into these episodes, which makes the conclusion of these storylines a little rushed. But at least we get a resolution for them. Like the two love interests for the two main characters. One of them finally get together after a season of teasing. The other gets to find out about the crime fighting and all (thanks to Alfred where he pulls the same stunt he did in the first Batman movie with Vicky Vale). Another thing which comes out of nowhere: The resolution of whom killed the mother of Huntress.
The music replacements in this DVD release is something which really bothered me. One thing I mentioned before is the removal of the great theme song. The other big replacement is the final showdown. In the original aired version, they played T.a.t.u.'s "All the Things She Said", which worked really well. Also it was the first time I had ever heard the song. Although I have to admit, you would not notice these replacements, if you haven't seen the original version.
