Not Another Teen Movie, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Not Another Teen Movie: Special Edition Year: 2001 Director: Joel Gallen Rating: R Length: 89 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, French: Dolby Digital Surround, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: English, French Stars: Chyler Leigh as Janey Briggs Chris Evans as Jake Wyler Jaime Pressly as Priscilla Eric Christian Olsen as Austin Mia Kirshner as Catherine Plot:Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Interactive Games Music Videos Closed Captioned Car Ride short film My Thoughts: This is the first time I watched this movie since I first bought it back in 2003. It is of course a spoof on teen romantic comedies. It is a fun movie... there was a couple scenes I could have done without... but over-all it is worth checking out. This particular movie had 3 people that I recognized from TV Series. First one being Mia Krishner who I know from 2 shows. An old Saturday Morning kid series Dracula: The Series where she played Sophie, the young girl the brothers meet and helps them attempt to defeat Dracula. Then there is Eric Christian Olsen who played Jensen in the second season of Tru Calling. And finally we got Joanne Garcia, she played Cheyenne in Reba... here she plays the cheerleader with Turrets. Which was a fun gag in a few scenes through-out the movie. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Mystery Marathon on January 28th, 2010) Jennifer's Body, a review by dfmorgan
Year: 2009 Director: Karyn Kusama Cast: Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons Overview: Sexy temptress Megan Fox is hotter than hell as Jennifer, a gorgeous, seductive cheerleader who takes evil to a whole new level after she's possessed by a sinister demon. Steamy action and gore galore ensue as the male student body succumbs to Jennifer's insatiable appetite for human flesh. Now it's up to her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) to stop Jennifer's reign of terror before it's too late! This edition also contains a Digital Copy of the film, now you can watch Jennifer's Body where you want, when you want! Watched: 20th Mar 2010 My Thoughts: Interesting, a demonic possession film. A cheerleader (Megan Fox) goes off with a rock band following a fire at the venue. When she returns she is a different person. Her best friend (Amanda Seyfried) has to discover what has happened and then bring it to an end. Whilst there is some gore it is not a gore-fest, unlike the last film I watched. My Rating: It was alright for a 3 Dave (From Dave's DVD/Blu-ray Reviews on March 21st, 2010) "Big Bang Theory" Marathon, a review by Achim9. The Cooper-Hofstadter Polarization Leonard and Sheldon go from physics to fisticutts when tempers flare at the symposium. Now here you go... "It happens m ore often than you'd think." What a fun episode to see this to physicists pick a fight with each other and then sucxk at apologizing 10. The Loobenfeld Decay Sheldon cannot tell a lie. He has to tell at least seven. And they are all "un-unravelable!" Like Pete said, it was great to watch Sheldon protect his lie. Also his usual carelessness reagrding social protocol comes out several times; gotta love him for that. (From "Big Bang Theory" Marathon on September 30th, 2008) |
