Plot: Jolene Blalock (STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE) James Marsters (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, ANGEL) and Tony Todd (CANDYMAN) star in this creepy chiller about a group of strangers who awaken in a locked asylum ward with no idea of who they are or how they got there. They are half-naked, cold and frightened. And they are not alone. Who has erased their memories? Why have they been imprisoned? And what is the supernatural force that is slaughtering them one by one? The answers wait deep in the darkness where a beast hungers to feed, escape is virtually impossible, and the shadows of sanity may hide the most shocking revelations of all. Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers Featurettes Closed Captioned My Thoughts: This is a cool horror. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Actually I enjoyed every minute of it. While watching this one all I could think of is how it felt like some of those survival horror video games I used to play. Jolene Blalock played a very strong character in this movie... and there is nothing I enjoy more in a horror movie then a strong female character. I have always hated the women in horror movies that does nothing but scream and running scared... without even thinking of what they are doing or where they are going. I really liked all the characters in this one. Along with the 2 TV stars above... this one has Tony Todd... another person I have become a fan of over the years. If you haven't yet... you should give this one a try. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: TV Stars in the Movies on March 5th, 2010) Christmas Town, a review by addicted2dvd

The town's profuse decorations and intense Yuletide spirit exasperate Liza, who has hated the holidays ever since she was a little girl. But a series of magic and inexplicable events force Liza to rethink everything she thought was true. Will the magic of this Christmas town help Liza reconnect with her father and open her heart to the true spirit of the holidays? Heart-warming and fun for the whole family, CHRISTMAS TOWN stars Nicole de Boer (DEAD ZONE), Patrick Muldoon (STARSHIP TROOPERS), Garry Chalk (DECK THE HALLS), and Gig Morton (SNOW BUDDIES). Extras:
My Thoughts: This is another film I found on Netflix. It is entertaining enough to be worth the time put in to watch it... but at the same time I would say very average. While I can see myself watching this one again it is not one I would feel I have to see every Christmas. That being said... I would add it to my collection if I got it cheap enough. Plot: Dark, brooding, pulsing with bloodlust and transcendent with romance, The Vampire Diaries - which started as a series of must-read novels by L.J. Smith - has become a must-watch television hit. Season One offers unforgettable characters, living and undead. They are vampire brothers Stefan and Damon, one good and one evil; Elena, a double for the beauty both brothers loved some 150 years earlier; plus Jeremy, Bonnie, Matt and more denizens of Mystic Falls, VA. All are caught up in a spellbinding web of secrets, passion and terror. The Vampire Diaries Season 1.01 Pilot Writer: L. J. Smith (Original Material By), Kevin Williamson (Writer), Julie Plec (Writer) Director: Marcos Siega Cast: Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert), Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore), Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert), Sara Canning (Jenna Sommers), Katerina Graham (Bonnie Bennett), Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes), Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan), Kayla Ewell (Vicky Donovan), Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood), Chris William Martin (Zach Salvatore), Steve Belford (Darren), Cindy Busby (Brooke), Ben Ayres (Mr. Tanner), Marci T. House (Secretary), Wesley R. MacInnes (Peeing Guy), Curtis Lum (Peeing Guy #2) I quite enjoy this series and the pilot is a good introduction to it. What I appreciated with the beginning of this series is, that they take some time until the female lead finds out about her love interest being a vampire. Usually in a series like this it happens in the pilot that the guy his to reveal his origins to the female lead after having to save her.
