Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, a review by addicted2dvd
My Thoughts: This is part of a boxset that I got called The Original Christmas Classics... it is in a set of 7 specials. This is one I haven't seen since I was a kid. I always liked the character of Mr. Magoo. And I always liked the story of A Christmas Carol... but the one thing I don't like about this special is all the music they use in it. That is the one downfall of this show in my personal opinion. I am happy to say that the quality of the release is much nicer then I was expecting... for some reason I wasn't expecting too much quality wise. but I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of this set. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Addicted2DVD's 25 Days of Christmas Marathon: 2010 on December 8th, 2010) Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, a review by TomTitle: Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Year: 1986 Director: Leonard Nimoy Rating: FSK-12 Length: 117 Min. Only the premise of having to get whales from the 20th century to the 23rd century I find ridiculous.Rating: Note to Jimmy: This is a recycled review (From Tom's Star Trek Movies Marathon on February 1st, 2009) Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom01. City of Angels (1999-10-05) Writer: Joss Whedon (Created By), David Greenwalt (Created By), Joss Whedon (Writer), David Greenwalt (Writer) Director: Joss Whedon Cast: David Boreanaz (Angel), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), Glenn Quinn (Doyle), Tracy Middendorf (Tina), Vyto Ruginis (Russel Winters), Christian Kane (Lindsey McDonald), Jon Ingrassia (Stacy), Renee Ridgeley (Margo), Sam Pancake (Manager), Josh Holloway (Good Looking Guy), Gina McClain (Janice), Michael Mantell (Oliver Simon (uncredited)) A good start to the series. Back then I was a little skeptical that a Angel series could work, but this episode had shown, that this series has potential. Maybe a little too much exposition forced into it, to get new viewers up-to-date. But what is with the ugly and strange vampire make-up in this episode? I don't remember if this new make-up was just an experiment in the beginning of the series, or if it was actually used throughout the Angel series like that. I have just read on Wikipedia, that they tried a new vampire look in this episode, but were unhappy with it and returned to the vampire look known from Buffy.
