My Thoughts:

A Christmas Carol has always been my favorite holiday story. Not only is this a version of that wonderful story... it is a very fun version. Oddly this is the first time I ever seen this version. And I must say I am glad that I recently added it to my collection.

The Preacher's Wife, a review by Rich

8/12

preacher's wife

In this updating of 1947's "The Bishop's Wife," a Baptist preacher unknowingly pays too much attention to his congregation, and not enough to his dedicated wife and son. Enter Dudley, a flirtatious, sharp-dressed angel, to help the couple build a new church and, not incidentally, reignite their marriage. Academy Award Nominations: Best Original Musical or Comedy Score.

A total blind buy but bought for the cast list, it was surprisingly good and a perfect uplifting xmas story. My preconception was that it would be about an illicit affair, and it was headed that way at the beginning, but with a very well-written and thoughtful twist everything turns out fine.
Brilliantly produced parody on all things spiritual and with a genuinely meaningful moral undercurrent, it is definately a keeper.  ;D

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Lost

What's the show about?
Does anyone really know that? Officially it's about the survivors of a plane crash who are stranded on a very strange island that is inhabited by even stranger people and "things".

"Pilot"
Oceanic 815 from Sydney to Los Angeles gets way off course and then crashes on an island. The survivors try to get in contact with the rescue party and make theirselves as comfortable as possible until the rescue arrives...

My Opinion
It's a very interesting show, but I have given up to figure out what the island is about, or the Others. For me it's now a great character survey and as that it still works great.
