Alien Nation: The Enemy Within, a review by addicted2dvd

I just came to the realization that I have not watched a single DVD since I finished my Bionic Woman marathon! That was 3 days ago!  :o

So I just watched...

Alien Nation: The Enemy Within
Francisco is forced to confront his own prejudices while investigating the death of an Eeno, a member of a lowly and reviled caste of Tenctonese waste-eaters. On the domestic front, Sikes and Cathy experience culture shock when they decide to move in together, and Francisco is asked to participate in a Tenctonese conception, much to his wife's consternation.

My Thoughts:
This is the 4th TV Reunion movie in the set. I enjoyed it... it is one I have never seen before. I thought the story was really good and that they did a fine job with it. These reunion movies makes me wish there was more then one season to the series. One thing that was odd though. This disc holds the 4th and 5th reunion movie... and the inner circle says that this one is on side A and the last one (The Udara Legacy) is on Side B. Only problem is they seemed to mess up as it is actually the opposite of that. But that is a minor problem to what seems to be a great set otherwise.

My Thoughts:

This is another one that surprised me that I enjoyed it as much as I did. A film I found on Netflix and do plan on adding to my collection at some point in the near future. I liked how they did the story line... it easily kept my attention from beginning to end. And I enjoyed all the characters. Another film I feel comfortable recommending.

Plot:
Music is Life
Koyuki Tanaka was feeling the rut, though he's only a teenager. Between the sheltered and stifling grind of school and the girls that spend their time not noticing him... Every day was just another day of being a total nobody. Enter Ryusuke: a local rock n' roller haunted by a shady reputation. Together they form Beck, a dynamic band that just might be the salvation of the stagnant music scene. Sure, it's going to take hard work and obsession to make it, but there's something special in the sound. If the guys can stay true to their vision, the world awaits. Music can change their life, sometimes against your will. Just remember... When it's live, anything can happen.

Beck
1.01 The View at Fourteen

Beck is a good coming-of-age story about a boy who joins a rock band which dreams to become big in America. This first episode is slow but fitting introduction into the series.
