My Thoughts:
At times a very silly movie. The story is also nothing special. But there were enough fun scenes in it and also a few songs that I enjoyed, to make it a somewhat fun watch.
It was also the first time, that I liked a character potrayed by Kareena Kapoor throughout the movie. Hritik Roshan has again one of this hyper active character roles. Abhishek Bachchan seems to be typecast as the quiet, professionally successful, understanding, but turned down second love interest (he does it great though).

The St. Francisville Experiment, a review by Danae Cassandra

The St. Francisville Experiment
Year of Release: 2000
Directed By: Ted Nicolaou
Starring: Madison Charap, Ryan Larson, Paul James Palmer, Tim Baldini
Genre: Horror

Overview:My Thoughts:
This is my first foray into the "found footage" genre, and I'm feeling kinda ambivalent about it. There were some good things here, but there were an equal level of bad ones.

The good: This may be an ultra-low-budget film, but that look works it. It really does look like something that four inexperienced college students might make in a night at a haunted house. I like that they tied into real history with Mme. LeLaurie, and that the filmmakers tried to set it up beforehand as being something they were filming as a ghost-hunting/documentary project for college. It gives it some context for being "found footage."

The average: There's a lot of shaky-cam, but that really didn't bother me. The haunted house was inconsistently creepy, and some parts were simply silly.

The bad: While the actors did a good job portraying silly young college students, for the most part their characters were annoying. Especially Ryan. She was super, super annoying and I really wanted a ghost to get her. Madison was almost as bad, especially with her "white light of protection." She was simply screaming to me as being someone who read Buckland's Big Blue Book and saw The Craft and thought she knew everything she needed to about being Wiccan. Again, totally wanted a ghost to get her, just not as much as Ryan. I didn't like any of these people, but the actors came off as playing them very naturally.

It was hard to suspend disbelief and accept this as actually being found footage. I wasn't invested in the characters, or their story, and we didn't learn enough about the ghosts, who were definitely the most interesting part.

Bechdel Test: Pass

Overall: 2/5

Veronica Mars Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Veronica Mars
Season 3 Disc 3

9. Spit & Eggs
The coaster isn't clear: A coaster treated with a date-rape drug indicator leads Veronica to the campus rapist. Logan makes a decision about his relationship with Veronica. And Dean O'Dell discovers his wife's infidelity.

My Thoughts:
What an episode! An excellent conclusion to the rapist storyline... and the start of the next multi-episode mystery. I loved every minute of this one!

My Rating:

10. Show Me the Monkey
O'Dell's "suicide" may be patterned after the murder Veronica devised for her criminology class. And Mac is attracted to the leader of a campus animal rights group accused of nabbing a lab monkey.

My Thoughts:
A good episode. Though I got to say... I never cared much for Logan. And I especially never cared for him with Veronica. in this season I always wanted her to get with Piz. In this episode.... so close yet so far.

My Rating:

11. Poughkeepsie, Tramps and Thieves
Comic-Con, prime spot for babe action! Max asks Veronica to find his one-night-stand soul mate, a 'Battlestar Galactica' fan who turns out to be a hooker. Meanwhile, Keith follows up on Dean O'Dell's death.

My Thoughts:
A pretty good episode... though not one of my favorites. Going nuts over a hooker you didn't know was a hooker is one thing. But after you find out... going to the extremes this guy did is just unbelievable.

My Rating:

12. There's Got to Be a Morning After Pill
Someone slips Tim's squeeze (who's also Dick's squeeze) RU486 to make her miscarry a baby she didn't want to lose. Can Veronica discover the who and the how? Her investigation crosses paths with the O'Dell case.

My Thoughts:
This is another episode I liked quite a bit. It ha a good weekly mystery. And I must say I had to laugh when Keith and Veronica Mars went undercover together... and they said their names were Carson Drew and his assistant Nancy. For those that don't know... Carson is the name of Nancy Drew's father.

My Rating:

Disc 3 Thoughts:
Another disc I really enjoyed. I liked all the episodes to some degree. Once again there is no extras on this disc.
