Revenge of the Rats, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Revenge of the Rats Year: 2003 Director: Jorg Luhdorff Rating: PG-13 : Scenes of Peril Length: 104 Min. Video: Widescreen 1.78:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: Stars:Plot: As the city faces the worst heat wave in 150 years, the municipal workers go on strike and the garbage begins to pile up. As it slowly leaks into the street, rats begin to crawl out from under the concrete and the shadows, searching for food. But this is a new, faster breed of rodent, and soon, they are everywhere - creeping out of toilets, into beds and over tables. And if the infestation of fat gray masses isn't terrifying enough, it's soon discovered that the rats are carring a horrible virus, which makes then almost impossible to exterminate - and deadly to humans. Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: This is a movie I got very cheap on sale ($3.19) back in October when I was buying movies for my October Marathon. I never got around to this one at that time. Luckily I didn't pay too much for this one... as I really didn't care too much for this one. It just didn't keep my attention very much. I don't know that it is... but it felt like I was watching a TV Movie. While there was a couple good scenes in it... this movie is so slow that I really struggled to keep my attention on the movie. But it really wasn't meant to be. About an hour into the movie I was so bored I had to turn it off. For those couple good scenes I will give this movie 1 star... but I can't bring myself to do any better then that as it was just too boring. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Anything Goes on January 22nd, 2010) Lethal Weapon 4, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Lethal Weapon 4 Year: 1998 Director: Richard Donner Rating: R Length: 127 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, French: Dolby Digital 5.1, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: English, French Stars: Mel Gibson as Martin Riggs Danny Glover as Roger Murtaugh Joe Pesci as Leo Getz Rene Russo as Lorna Cole Chris Rock as Lee Butters Plot:Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Production Notes Interviews Closed Captioned My Thoughts: Well... what did you expect to see next? Come on... there is no way I could watch the first 3 and not watch the final one! This time they added Chris Rock to the gang. Which is a good thing... I like him. But I do wish they would have made his character a little different I don't know... but he seemed a little too similar to Joe Pesci's character. I did however really liked the running gag where Murtaugh didn't know why he was always being extra nice to him and all. That one got more then one laugh out of me. We also get to see Jet Li in this one. This is the first thing I ever seen him in. And I enjoyed him in it. He is definitely a bad-ass! But I am embarrassed to say they only things in my collection with him in it is this and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. This was a good strong finish to the franchise. And one I am actually sorry to see come. I could watch another one or two Lethal Weapon movies! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: 2/19 - 2/21 on February 21st, 2010) Valentine's Day Episode Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdTru Calling: Season 1 Episode 12: Valentine On Valentine's Day, death is in the air as Tru tries to keep Luc, Harrison, Lindsey and herself alive when a serial killer is on the loose. My Thoughts: This is an excellent episode. It is one of my favorites. I like the whole serial killer storyline. Once again I must say I miss this show... Damn Fox! Had to cancel this series!
