Plot:
Psychologist C.J. Arnold (Richard Crenna) and his wife Caroline (Joanna Pettet) buy a dilapidated historical mansion with a dark past in hopes of transforming the estate into a drug rehabilitation clinic with the help of some of his students and current patients. When he opens a secret door in the basement of the house, Arnold inadvertently releases a malevolent presence in Gus Trikonis' The Evil. Also starring Victor Buono, Andrew Prine and Cassie Yates.

This is a movie I never seen before... but was recommended to me by a few people. I wouldn't say this is the best haunted house movie I seen... there is a bit of cheese involved here. But it is definitely one I enjoyed. This movie brought me back to my teen years when I was really going hard watching every horror I could find. I am actually surprised that I haven't seen this one before. Some scenes lagged a bit.... but over all it kept my attention. Over-all I am happy with this one.

This is a movie that a friend here at the forum was kind enough to send me... as he ended up with two copies. So I must once again say Thank You! I am looking forward to checking out the other movie on this disc (Twice Dead).

Plot:
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star together for the first time since The Wedding Singer in one of the funniest romantic comedies in years.

Henry Roth (Sandler) lives an enviable life in a Hawaiian paradise, spending every night with a beautiful tourist in search of an island fling. It's a sweet life with no strings attached...until he meets Lucy (Barrymore). He and Lucy hit it off from the get-go, but the next day she acts like she doesn't know him. Has his karma come around to kick him in the butt or what? Actually, Lucy has short-term memory loss, so every night all memory of her day is erased. My Thoughts:
I know of a lot of people that dislike Adam Sandler... but I personally have always enjoyed his movies. I also have enjoyed Drew Barrymore in most the stuff I have seen her in... so when I saw this one in the bargain bin of the local Wal-mart I was pretty quick to grab it. I know I have seen this one once before when it was first released... but really don't remember much about it. But I was pretty sure it was one I enjoyed. After watching it today I realized yes I did enjoy this movie... Very much so... even more then I remembered! It is definitely a more mature comedy then a lot of other Adam Sandler movies. Drew Barrymore was great as the cute and sweet girl next door with no short term memory. I also loved how they ended this movie. They opted to make it more realistic instead of trying to pull off some sort of miracle cure for Lucy. Was there anything I didn't like about this movie? Sure... there is the walrus vomit joke which would have fit in many Sandler movies... but just didn't belong in this one... then there was Lucy singing the Beach Boy Song with a terrible (hopefully fake) singing voice. And lastly I didn't care much for Lucy's brother. But all that is really minor... and didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie much... if at all. I would say even if you do not usually enjoy Adam Sandler movies... give this one a chance... you may be surprised.

"Something Wicca This Way Comes"

Reunited in the grand Victorian home of their childhood, a trio of sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) and Piper (Holly Marie Combs) discovers they are gifted Wicca witches. Little do they know that their newfound powers mean that they are now prey to evil forces.

My Thoughts:
Ahhh... this is the episode that started it all... including my admiration for Holly Marie Combs. I have to admit it seems a little weird watching these early episodes now... seeing how they are started compared to how powerful they are by the eighth season.

"I've Got You Under My Skin"
Original Airdate: October 14, 1998
Phoebe can't resist a peek into the future. She and her sisters learn their first lesson in witchcraft - deadly demons can come in any kind of package, including gorgeous male photographers.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. I especially liked how Piper (Holly Marie Combs) was afraid to enter the church because she was afraid she was evil.

"Thank You For Not Morphing"

Reunited with their long-lost father, Victor Halliwell, the sisters are ecstatic but a little suspicious of his sudden reappearance. Could good ol' dad have an ulterior motive?

My Thoughts:
This was a really good episode.... not only do you have the sisters battling shape shifters... but we meet Victor... the girl's father. Also at the very end of the episode Leo shows up for the very first time.

"Dead Man Dating"
Original Airdate: October 28, 1998
Prue tries to avoid a birthday celebration as Piper befriends and saves the restless soul of a ghost who was murdered by a gang leader. The sisters save his soul and learn a valuable life lesson.

My thoughts:
This one was another really good episode. One that deals with ghosts. I especially liked it since it was a big Piper episode. I also liked the way they put some Chinese folk lore into the story line for this one. This episode remains one of my favorites of the season.
