Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith

A part of

Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Year: 2005
Director: George Lucas
Cast: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen
Overview: The STAR WARS saga is now complete on DVD with Episode III REVENGE OF THE SITH. Torn between loyalty to his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the seductive powers of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker ultimately turns his back on the Jedi, thus completing his journey to the dark side and his transformation into Darth Vader. Experience the breathtaking scope of the final chapter in spectacular clarity and relive all the epic battles including the final climactic lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan.

Watched: 2nd. Oct 2011
My Thoughts: The final part of the prequel trilogy. I enjoyed this a lot more than the earlier 2. In this they really set up the original trilogy with the 4 births - The Empire, Darth Vader, Luke and Leia.

My Rating: I found this to be enjoyable and so a 4

My Thoughts:
An okay movie. But I didn't enjoy it as much as Fingersmith, which is set around the same time I believe. Nothing really surprising. It is about as much as I expected from the trailer.

Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 6: Disc 2

4. Arrow
While attending a fundraiser, Lois witnesses the Green Arrow steal a rare diamond necklace off Martha's neck and vows to find the man behind the costume.

My Thoughts:
Good episode... this is the first real look at The Green Archer. was a fun episode... though I have to admit I was expecting a little more for his introduction. Basically it was good... but I was expecting great.

5. Reunion
As teenagers, Lex and Oliver went to the same prep school, where Oliver and his friends bullied Lex and his friend Duncan. Lex eventually turned on Duncan to gain their acceptance, prompting Duncan to throw himself off the roof. Lex and Oliver return to the school for a reunion and are startled when Oliver's old pals are killed in violent and mysterious accidents that point to Duncan.

My Thoughts:
Funny... I remember when this one first aired that I wasn't to impressed with it... but now seeing it on DVD... I found I enjoyed it much more then I did on it's original run. I found it to have a little feel of a haunted house/ghost type story... as they lead you to believe it was possible at first. Definitely enjoyed it better the second time around!

6. Fallout
Clark is thrilled when he learns Raya managed to escape from the Phantom Zone and has come to see him in Smallville. The two grow close and Raya shows Clark how to restore power to the Fortress of Solitude. However, Baern, a killer who also escaped from the Phantom Zone, takes on both Raya and Clark as he seeks revenge for his imprisonment.

My Thoughts:
This one was a good episode.... not only does Clark go against one of the freed phantoms... but also learns more about his father... his home planet and how to bring back the Fortress of Solitude from Raya. enjoyed every minute of this one.

Disc 2 Extras:

Smallville Legends: The Oliver Queen Chronicles
A short 6 episode animated feature to tell the history of The Green Arrow. Was a lot of fun to watch... really enjoyed it.

The Making of Smallville Legends: The Oliver Queen Chronicles
Decent featurette... but nothing I would watch again... but was a fairly cool watch for one time.

Smallville Legends: Justice and Doom
This was pretty cool...made up to look like an animated comic book... but I lost interest pretty fast since I am a fairly slow reader... it got pretty boring to me having to pause it every several seconds so I could read the speech bubbles. Only ended up watching the first episode (was divided in 5 parts).

Deleted Scenes'
had a single deleted scene for 2 of the 3 episodes on this disc... a deleted scene for Arrow and Fallout. Nothing that surprises me that it was cut... but still nice to have as an extra.
