Memento, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Memento Year: 2000 Director: Christopher Nolan Rating: R Length: 113 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars: Guy Pearce Carrie-Anne Moss Joe Pantoliano Mark Boone Junior Russ Fega Jorja Fox Plot: The revenge thriller gets an unforgettable new twist with Memento, an intricate crime story about a man with a damaged memory chasing a murderer whose identity he cannot possibly ever know for sure. Directed by newcomer Christopher Nolan, Memento has blown the minds of audiences around the world - by deftly forging a reality in which neither the lead character nor the audience know who is pulling the strings...until every thing that seemed true flips upside down. Leonard (Guy Pearce) suffers from a rare brain disorder - the inability to form any new memories. He can remember in detail everything that happened before his injury, but anyone he has met or anything he has done since that fateful night, simply vanishes. Who are his friends? Who are his enemies? What is the truth? In Leonard's world, the answers to these questions shift and change from second to second. And the more he tries to figure out what is true and real, the deeper he sinks into a multi-layered abyss of uncertainty and surprises. Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers Featurettes Gallery Production Notes DVD-ROM Content Closed Captioned 'Memento Mori' - original short story My Thoughts: Well... two movies in a row to make your head swim a bit. I think I will have to watch something I won't have to think about much next! Once again it is one I enjoyed quite a bit... but it is definitely one you really need to give your full attention to. I don't know how real such brain damage is... but I couldn't imagine trying to get through life with such an illness. Definitely worth checking out if you never seen it. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on August 1st, 2010) Labor Pains, a review by addicted2dvd

Chris Parnell and Cheryl Hines also star in this hilarious comedy. Extras:
My Thoughts: I got this one on a spur of the moment impulse buy... mainly got it because it was very cheap and the overview on the back cover sounded slightly interesting. I found it to be a fun movie... I have seen better romantic comedies... but feel this one is above average. Definitely worth the time put in to watch it. It is a cute story with a few funny moments. Plot: Who will stand up to villains now that a heartbroken Dark Knight has mysteriously vanished? Never fear, New Gothamites, a trio of champions is ready to take wing - and Helena, the daughter of Batman and Catwoman, is among them. She calls herself Huntress and crime is her prey. Teenaged Dinah is the youngest of the group, learning as she goes and gifted in clairvoyance. And overseeing the awesome threesome's high-tech nerve center is Batgirl. Left wheelchair-bound by The Joker, she has reinvented herself as OracleBirds of Prey. Fighting together. Living together. And soaring into adventure together in 13 breathtaking live-action episodes. Birds of Prey 1.01 Pilot Writer: Laeta Kalogridis (Writer) Director: Brian Robbins Cast: Ashley Scott (Helena Kyle/Huntress), Dina Meyer (Barbara Gordon/Oracle), Rachel Skarsten (Dinah Lance), Shemar Moore (Det. Jesse Reese), Ian Abercrombie (Alfred Pennyworth), Mia Sara (Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn), Chris Ellis (Larry Ketterly), Shawn Christian (Wade Brixton), Aaron Paul (Jerry), Brent Sexton (Detective McNally), Mark Hamill (The Voice of the Joker (voice)), Amanda Michalka (Young Dinah), Maggie Baird (Mother), Joe Lala (Crowley) I watched this series when it originally aired. Even then, though I did enjoy watching it to a degree, I know that it was rather weak and will probably have a short life. I was just glad, that they got the chance to do a proper finale. There are two reasons why I still haven't watched the DVD set: One, it's non-anamorphic widescreen. Two, they replaced the best thing about the series: The theme song. Also I think they replaced the Tatu song "All the things she said" in the finale. It was there that I had first heard it. I thought it worked quite well in the showdown.
