Black Sunday, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Black Sunday
Movie Count:  14
TV Ep. Count:  3
Other Count:  2
Time Started:  8am

Plot:My Thoughts:
This is a movie that was given to me by our good friend Roger. I have heard a lot of good things about this movie in the past and been wanting to see it for a long time now. You don't know how disappointed I was when this movie arrived the day after my abstaining from horror began. That means it was sitting on my unwatched shelf for 3 whole months before I was allowed to finally watch it. Barbara Steele has a great presence in this movie. It is no wonder she became as famous as she has. I absolutely loved the scene in the beginning of the movie with the mask. While I did enjoy this movie... I feel it lost a little something as it went on. The middle/end portions off the movie just didn't hold up to the beginning. Not that it is a bad movie... I am glad I finally got to see this one... and glad it was added to my collection.

My Rating
Out of a Possible 5

Bedtime Stories, a review by Rich

Bedtime Stories

Funnyman Adam Sandler stars in Walt Disney Pictures' Bedtime Stories, the magical family comedy that's packed with adventure and lots of heart. When Skeeter Bronson (Sandler) babysits his sister's (Courteney Cox) children, his imagination runs wild as he dreams up elaborate bedtime stories - always casting himself as the hero. Entranced, the children add their own ideas to these once-upon-a-time tales of heroics and chivalry. Then...magic happens. These nighttime fantasies become Skeeter's daytime realities, leading him on a real-life adventure in search of his own happy ending. Filled with colorful characters, humor and whimsy, this heartwarming comedy will enchant your entire family again and again.

Lame, vomit inducing swill that is being churned out by the Sandler bowels at an alarming rate!
Totally unfunny, devoid of any recognisable comedy, charmless, bland, non-existent storyline, and a complete waste of time and money - for any age group.
Walt would have turned in his grave...

"Due South" marathon, a review by Tom

Writer: Paul Haggis (Created By), Paul Haggis (Writer), David Shore (Writer)
Director: Paul Haggis
Cast: Paul Gross (Constable Benton Fraser), David Marciano (Detective Ray Vecchio), Beau Starr (Lt. Harding Welsh), Daniel Kash (Detective Louis Gardino), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey), Catherine Bruhier (Elaine), Ramona Milano (Francesca), Melina Kanakaredes (Victoria Metcalf), Denis Forest (Jolly Hughes), Shay Duffin (Father Behan), Gordon Pinsent (Fraser Sr.), Paulina Gillis (Maria), David Calderisi (Mr. Vecchio), Vito Rezza (Tony), Sam Moses (Mr. Mustafi), Bruce McFee (Moran), Victor Ertmanis (Staff Sgt. Meers), Kim Ange (Boswell), Sam Malkin (Brown), Arthi Sambasivan (Jasmine), Craig Eldridge (Criminalist), Reiner Schwarz (Peddlar), Bob Fisher (Bonilla)

This two-parter picks up on the story of Fraser's ladyfriend whom he mentioned earlier in the season. This is a more dramatic episode. The only real comic relief here is Fraser's dad ("What happened to your hat?")
