Ghost Ship, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: The Ghost Ship Year: 1943 Director: Mark Robson Rating: NR Length: 69 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Mono Subtitles: English, French, Spanish Stars: Richard Dix Russell Wade Edith Barrett Ben Bard Edmund Glover Plot: There's danger dead ahead when director Mark Robson (Bedlam) helms The Ghost Ship. Richard Dix (Cimarron, The Whistler series) plays the sinister captain whose port of call may be madness. All aboard! Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: I decided to start my marathon with a classic. One of the Val Lewton movies I bought this past October. After watching the movie I am a little disappointed that it has nothing to do with ghosts... but it is a good movie. It has some great atmosphere in it. I found that when we heard the mute sailor's thoughts it was quite eerie. It was well done. While I did enjoy this movie quite a bit... I must say that so far it is my least favorite of the Val Lewton movies that I have watched. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on December 18th, 2009) Resident Evil: Retribution, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts: I have enjoyed all the previous Resident Evil movies... so I was feeling pretty confident going into this one. And I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed this one for what it is. A leave your brain at the door, fun... action packed film with just enough of a touch of horror to keep me a happy camper. It is well worth the time put in to watch it.My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on June 21st, 2013) The X-Files Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdThe X-Files: Season 1 2. Deep Throat Original Air Date: September 17, 1993 Mulder and Scully investigate the strange disappearance of an army test pilot. They uncover secret military medical experiments, which are being performed on pilots who have flown aircraft that were built using alien technology. Guest Stars: Jerry Hardin as Deep Throat Michael Bryan French as Paul Mossinger Seth Green as Emil Gabrielle Rose as Anita Budahas Monica Parker as Ladonna My Thoughts: Second episode... and still on the UFOs and such. Not that it is a bad episode. It is interesting. But the main reason I am doing this is to see the Freak-of-the-week episodes again. As I said... those has always been my favorite episodes. As I said... I do like this episode but not as much as I did the pilot. I did like the light show in the sky in this one though (about 15 min into the episode). I also liked Seth Green as stoner UFO watcher. My Rating: (From The X-Files Marathon on March 28th, 2010) |
