Night of the Demons, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Night of the Demons
Movie Count: 71
TV Ep Count: 35
Other  Count: 2
Time Started: 8:30am
Plot:
It's Halloween night and Angela is throwing a party, but this is no ordinary spook bash. Everybody's headed to Hull House, a deserted funeral home with a shocking secret in its past and something evil alive in its basement. Now the guests are becoming possessed, and this party's treats include tongue-ripping, eyeball gouging, gratuitous nudity, bloody dismemberment and more. Welcome to the blowout where all Hell is breaking loose: You're invited to NIGHT OF THE DEMONS!

Scream Queen 'Linnea Quigley' stars in this twisted 80's splatter-fest dirrected by 'Kevin S. Tenney' (WITCHBOARD) and featuring grisly gore effects by 'Steven Johnson' (DEAD HEAT, SPECIES). NIGHT OF THE DEMONS is presented totally uncut and uncensored and loaded with exclusive new extras for the first time ever on DVD.

My Thoughts:
This is classic '80s horror. The kind of horror I grew up with... so I definitely have a soft spot for it.This one is definitely a no-brainer popcorn type movie... just a sit back... relax and get lost in the nonsense. Even though I would say this one is basically a low budget horror... I would also say it is at the high end of low budget horrors... if that makes any sense to you.  While watching it you don't feel low-budget coming from it... decent effects... including some pretty cool looking demons. Was definitely worth the 90min I put into the movie.

My Rating

Redneck Zombies, a review by addicted2dvd

Jon... you think those are bad... I now present... for your disapproval...

Redneck Zombies
Backwoods hicks mistake barrels of toxic waste for moonshine and become tobacco-chewin', gut-stompin', cannibal kinfolk from hell!! The goriest laugh-riot ever produced.Redneck Zombies is an unforgettable onslaught of dismemberment and human body parts. Now restored to it's glory in an exclusive director's cut!

My Thoughts:
Ok seeing the above I am sure the first thing coming to your mind is why in the hell would I even attempt to watch such garbage. There is no way in the world there could be anything good about this movie. And if it was any movie of equal quality I would definitely agree with you. But in this particular case it is not about the movie at all. This movie was made just down the street from where I live. And even as God-Awful as this movie is... it holds a special place in my heart. First of all because it is fun seeing all the familiar areas. But then there is the fact that Alice Stanely is in this movie. I know... I hear you all saying WHO?!?!?! She is a local woman that used to cut my hair. This is the only thing she did... and she only did it for fun. But for me... it is a lot of fun seeing the woman that used to cut my hair get decapitated.  Ok... so maybe now you know why I enjoy popping this movie in every few years or so.  :P

Now... for the movie itself... As I said before... this is a God-Awful movie. Acting is absolutely terrible... to the point of laughable. The story is ridiculous.... and the effects (which is probably the best thing about the movie itself) is pretty much idiotic. There is no way I would ever recommend this movie to someone else.

My Rating:
