Overview
My thoughtsToy Story. But that is intentional, and part of its charm. A big difference between the two films is that this one uses toys, but they don't really represent toys. There are no children playing with them. These toys live in a world entirely of their own.

The story is almost impossible to describe. It's a bit like trying to describe Terry Gilliam's animation for Monty Python. Absurd might be a good way to describe it. But absurd in a good way. Very good.

I loved it. I was surprised, but pleased, that it had not been dubbed into English. The French dialog just matches the absurdity so well that I doubt that an English dub could have made it justice. So don't let that discourage you. Definitely recommended!

Baby on Board, a review by Rich

Baby on Board

Power couple Angela (Heather Graham) and Curtis (Jerry O'Connell) have a seemingly flawless marriage, but a surprise pregnancy could end up turning their carefully ordered world upside down in this riotous rollercoaster of a romantic comedy. Between their know-it-all best friends (John Corbett and Katie Finneran) and Angela's task-master boss (Lara Flynn Boyle), the perfect pair could end up imploding before the bundle of joy's even born.

Unoriginal, unfunny, unpleasant and unappetising.
Tired old predictable story, a cast that should have known better, and so poorly scripted it did not raise one laugh from me during the whole movie.
Avoid this, even if it soon finds its way into the bargain bins.

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Smallville

What's the show about?
Clark Kent was raised by the Kents in Smallville, Kansas. But Clark is no ordinary teenager. Clark is Kal-El, an alien from the planet Krypton. He has super-strengt, super-vision and many other special abilities. Clark was sent by his parents to Earth because Krypton was on the eve of destruction. Here on Earth he lives the official life of a farm boy and the inofficial life of the rescuer of people who need his help.

What happened before?
I am not entirely sure, but I believe that Smallville is also a re-imagination of the Superman universe.

"Pilot"
A meteor shower hits a small town in Kansas: Smallville. But with that shower a spaceship arrives and it contains a small boy that is adopted by the Kents. 12 years later. Clark Kent, Lana Lang, Chloe Sullivan and Pete Ross are freshemens on the Smallville Highschool. And Lex Luthor, son of Lionel Luthor takes over the management of the Smallville fertilizer plant. But then an accident happens where Lex nearly gets killed - if it weren't for Clark. And a man awakes from a coma in which he had laid for twelve years...

My Opinion
Great show, lots of Freak-of-the-Week episodes but it has some great storyarcs, too.
