Horrible Bosses , a review by Jon

Horrible Bosses ****

Year: 2011
Director: Seth Gordon
Rating: 15

The Hangover Part II proved. That was very funny too. It was also bloody awful, treating the audience like idiots with dreadful plotting just to join one gag to another before dumping heavy handed moralising on them as well.

At least the Hangover films are about recognisable people and maybe were so successful because audiences needed a change. While AnchormanClerks, Chasing Amy) seems to have lost momentum to Judd Apatow (Knocked UpEasy A Swimming With Sharks). Jason Sudeikis loves his job and his boss (Donald Sutherland), who suddenly dies, leaving his drug addict crazy son in charge (Strangers On A TrainThrow Momma From The TrainEnter The DragonVery Bad ThingsOffice Space or 9 To 5

Watchmen, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Watchmen
Year: 2009
Director: Zack Snyder
Rating: NR
Length: 165 Min.
Video: Pan and Scan
Audio: English
Subtitles: N/A

Stars:
Malin Akerman
Billy Crudup
Matthew Goode
Jackie Earle Haley
Patrick Wilson

Plot:
n an alternate 1985 where former superheroes exist, the murder of a colleague sends active vigilante Rorschach into his own sprawling investigation, uncovering something that could completely change the course of history as we know it.

My Thoughts:
This is one of the movies I wanted to check out on HBO On-Demand. I found it to be an interesting movie... but not really the style of a superhero movie that I particularly enjoy. The alternate1985 made it seem a little on the weird side. And I personally prefer the previous style for a superhero movie. But that being said... I don't consider this a bad movie. As I said... it is interesting. And I can see myself watching it again... but not often. I would probably add this movie to my collection if I could find it cheap (well under $10) enough.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom

04. Beauty and the Beasts (1998-10-20)
Writer: Marti Noxon (Writer)
Director: James Whitmore Jr.
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), David Boreanaz (Angel), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Fab Filippo (Scott Hope), John Patrick White (Pete), Danielle Weeks (Debbie), Phill Lewis (Mr. Platt), Eliza Dushku (Faith)

An episode I never really cared for. I was never a fan of third season's Angel storyline. Good thing they have spun him off to another series. I think he is more interesting away from Buffy.
