Hot Shots! Part Deux, a review by DJ Doena

Charlie Sheen    ...    Topper Harley
Lloyd Bridges   ...    President Thomas 'Tug' Benson
Valeria Golino   ...    Ramada Rodham Hayman
Richard Crenna   ...    Col. Denton Walters
Brenda Bakke   ...    Michelle Rodham Huddleston
Miguel Ferrer   ...    Commander Arvid Harbinger
Rowan Atkinson   ...    Dexter Hayman

Synopsis: Topper - who lives in a buddhist monastery now - is contacted by the CIA. They want him to rescue a rescue team that tried to rescue a rescue team that tried to rescue some hostages from Iraq. In order to accomplish this they meet with their contact deep in enemy territory - and the contact (codename "Bench Press") happens to be Ramada.

My Opinion: This time they spoofed the Rambo and other commando team movies and I enjoyed this more than the previous one. Especially in the beginning with the monastery and the Kickboxer fight. Or the scene on the jungle river (In Iraq?!? ;)) where Charlie Sheen meets his father (one starred in Platoon, the other in Apocalypse Now) and they congratulate each other for Wall Street. Or the scene with the body count - "Bloodiest movie of all time". So great.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend, a review by Tom

Length: 96 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.40, Pan & Scan 1.33:1
Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, French: Dolby Digital Surround, Spanish: Dolby Digital Surround

Stars:
Uma Thurman
Luke Wilson
Anna Faris
Rainn Wilson
Eddie Izzard

Plot:
SUPERstars Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson deliver unstoppable fun in this hilarious hit comedy directed by Ivan Reitman ('Meatballs', 'Stripes').

Matt Saunders (Wilson) thinks he's found the perfect girlfriend in Jenny Johnson (Thurman), who just happens to be smart, sexy...and a superhero. But when Jenny turns out to be a needy, neurotic mess, Matt wants to call it quits. Jenny is crushed by the news and will stop at nothing to exact sweet revenge.

It's an outrageous super-comedy that proves breaking up can be hard to do - and downright dangerous!

Extras:
Closed Captioned
Deleted Scenes
Music Videos
Scene Access
Trailers

My Thoughts:
A nice romantic comedy. It will not be a favorite of mine, but I had fun watching it. But Anna Faris beats Uma Thurman by far in the hotness department!
Rainn Wilson is a nice comic relief doing his "The Office" shtick.

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

(lit. "Turkish for Beginners")

What's the show about?"Die, in der ich meine Freiheit verliere"
(lit. "The One Where I Lose My Freedom")
Lena is happy to learn that her mother has stopped dating that "Albanian terrorist" when they announce that they are moving in together in a new home. Aside from the happy couple only Nils can see anything good in this and Lena and Cem almost instantly declare war on each other after Cem tried to bully Lena into wearing less "slutty" and more traditional clothes. For this he hires is "gangsta buddy" Costa which in itself is an odd combination since Costa is of Greek origin.

My Opinion
I love the show. Sometimes it gets a bit tiresome because Lena's and Cem's story is getting much more complicated and Lena's sometimes too egoistic and egocentric but in the end they all grow up.
