My Thoughts:

This is a film I haven't watched in several years. While the computer equipment really shows the age of this film... it didn't take too much away from the storyline. I never really noticed it when I watched this film when I was younger... but David really knew how to do things that a high school student shouldn't know how to do. So with this one you really have to suspend disbelief... but I still really liked the story line. I also had a little problem with Dabney Coleman... as I never been a fan of his. There is just something about him that rubs me the wrong way. On the other hand I always liked Ally Sheedy so it was fun seeing her in one of her earlier roles again. Anyway I really liked this one... possibly more then I should. Definitely worth the time put in to watch it.

My Thoughts:
This is one that was given to me a couple years ago, but just now got the chance to watch. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. The movie just seemed weird and hard to follow. Maybe if they told a straight story instead of using flashbacks to jump all over the place I would have enjoyed it more. But it has a decent cast... the acting is fine... but I just couldn't keep up with the story. It is obviously one of those movies you have to give all your attention to... but for some reason I found myself drifting in and out of sleep for the most of the movie. I think I will have to give this one another chance one of these days just to see if I can follow it any better.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Tom's Random Star Trek Reviews, a review by Tom

Star Trek
1.28 City on the Edge of Forever
Writer: Harlen Ellison (Writer), Gene Roddenberry (Original Characters By)
Director: Joseph Pevney
Cast: William Shatner (Kirk), Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock), Joan Collins (Sister Edith Keeler), DeForest Kelley (Dr. McCoy), James Doohan (Scott), George Takei (Sulu), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), John Harmon (Rodent), Hal Baylor (Policeman), David L. Ross (Galloway), John Winston (Transporter Chief), Bartell La Rue (Guardian Voice (voice))

Probably the best episode of the original Star Trek series. McCoy gets transported back in time to the 1930s, which changes the present dramatically. Kirk and Spock also travel back to prevent whatever McCoy did.
