Frenzy, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Frenzy: The Masterpiece Collection Year: 1972 Director: Alfred Hitchcock Rating: R Length: 116 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Mono, French: Dolby Digital: Mono Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars: Jon Finch Barry Foster Barbara Leigh-Hunt Anna Massey Alec McCowen Vivien Merchant Plot:Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Featurettes Gallery Production Notes My Thoughts: This is the first time I ever seen this Hitchcock classic. And I must say... I loved every minute of it! The story kept me glued to my seat from start to finish. I found that the movie has a really good pace to it. While it does of course have slower scenes... it never slows down to the point that even the slightest bit of boredom sets in. I think the entire cast... main stars and supporting cast alike... did a great job. I did find this movie to be a more graphic movie then any other Hitchcock movie I have seen in the past. So it does show a change in the times that occurred by the early '70s. This movie not only made it into my top favorite Hitchcock movies... but top favorite movies period. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From The Movies From Within My Lifetime on March 24th, 2011) Avatar, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts: Brittany and I decided to watch this one today. It is a film out of her collection... but the first time either one of us has seen it. I was a little nervous going into this one... mainly due to the length. But I had always heard good things... so was more then willing to see it through. The first thing I notice on this one is that it is an absolutely gorgeous film. I am thrilled that I got to see this one for the first time on Blu-ray. Unlike my brother who watched it for (I believe) the first time on a basic cable channel. As for the story itself... I was also happy there. It kept my attention through-out with ease. It is definitely one I would recommend. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on August 16th, 2013) Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdAngel: Season 5 21. Power Play Original Air Date: 5/12/2004 Angel's strange behavior convinces the gang that he's joined an elite group of evildoers called the Circle of the Black Thorn - a group he could have only joined by killing one of his own. Guest Stars: Christian Kane Dennis Christopher Alec Newman Jenny Mollen Adam Baldwin My Thoughts: Starting to get really good again. This is basically the first part of the series finale. The team thinks Angel went bad... but that is what he needed them to think. My Rating: (From Angel Marathon on March 25th, 2010) |
