Critters 3: You Are What They Eat, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: John Calvin Aimee Brooks JohnnyChristian Cousins Joseph Cousins Plot: Titanic heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the third and most outrageous installment of the classic cult tale of the infamous Critters. As the fanged, furious furballs viciously invade an L.A. apartment building and sink their teeth into the low-rent tenants, DiCaprio leads the battle to beat back the conniving critters and save the planet. It won't be an easy job, but he's the one person the human race must depend on to destroy these terrifying alien hedgehogs once and for all! Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers DVD-ROM Content Closed Captioned My Thoughts: While the series is still enjoyable... for some mindless escapism... this one went a bit downhill for me. This time they are in an apartment complex in the city after stowing away in a camper of a vacationing family. This time around the characters wasn't as likable. Just an average fair this time around. My Rating Out of a Possible 5 Count: Movie Count: 32 TV Ep. I wanted to watch this one with my daughter... but she wouldn't have any part of this one for some reason. But I still enjoyed it quite a bit... even if I did have to watch it on my own. The father being an artist/inventor did make him out to be a bit out there... but I guess he had to be where the story had to go. I really liked Anna Paquin in this early role... probably one of her first roles... as the teen age girl that had to fly the geese south for the winter. I really became a fan of hers after seeing her in the Showtime series True Blood. So it is pretty cool seeing her in such an early role. I also liked Dana Delaney as the father's girlfriend. As I said... I really enjoyed this one. A real feel good type movie. And of course the big fight scene for Spike. My Rating: (From Angel Marathon on March 22nd, 2010) |
