Spotswood, a review by RichSpotswood Wallace is an efficiency expert, managing the high profile downsizing of a major auto parts factory. But when he is hired to evaluate a small moccasin factory which seems from another era, Wallace has to reconsider the rapid modernisation he advocates, as he is confronted by the human faces such plans hurt. Summer City Drama set in the 1950's, in which four young men take off for a weekend of sun, sand, surf and anything else that takes their fancy. An Australian production. Gentle and charming Aussie comedy with Hopkins as always stealing the show looking a pro amongst amateurs, and a young Crowe trying his best not to act, the storyline was interesting albeit a bit dated, and very much humour in the vein of Muriels Wedding. Best described as the equivalent of an above average TV film, this is worth looking out for in the bargain bins. (From Riches Random Reviews on April 21st, 2009) Leprechaun, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Warwick Davis Jennifer Aniston Ken Olandt Mark Holton Robert Hy Gorman John Sanderford Plot: A horrific Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) goes on a rampage after his precious bag of gold coins is stolen. He uses all his magical destructive powers to trick, terrorize and kill everyone who is unlucky enough to hinder his relentless search. In a frantic attempt to survive the wrath of the Leprechaun, Tori (Jennifer Aniston) and her friends scramble to find the only weapon known to kill this Irish monster... a four leaf clover. However, until they discover a four leaf clover or return all the gold taken from the rainbow's end, their fairy tale nightmarehas only just begun. Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: It was fun seeing a young Jennifer Aniston (Friends) in this movie. Of course this more is done more for fun then horror... there is a load of comedy mixed in. But I definitely enjoy it for what it is. Not to mention Jennifer Aniston looked great in those tight shorts! My Rating Out of a Possible 5 Count: Movie Count: 56 TV Ep. Count: 20 Other Count: 8 I Made It! (10/15) (From Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon: 2010 on October 15th, 2010) Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdDisc 6: 21. Look Who's Barking Prue is transformed into a dog to help track down a Banshee demon, but when the demon attacks Phoebe, Cole must save her. My Thoughts: This is a really fun episode. I always liked the episodes where the sisters get turned into something else. And in this episode 2 of the sisters get turned into something... besides Prue getting turned into a dog... we also have Phoebe getting turned into a Banshee. 22. All Hell Breaks Loose When Piper and Prue are exposed as witches, Phoebe sacrifices herself to the dark side to save them, but the deal threatens to destroy them all. My Thoughts: This is really a powerful season finale. They really get a huge show in this one episode. It has such a huge ending that it leaves you desperate to see more. I remembered the first time I watched this episode... I was so worried about what was going to happen to this series after such a huge episode. But I will go more into that when I start the season 4 set. Over-All Season 3 Thoughts: I definitely have mixed feelings on this season. There was some really good episodes here. But it also is the season that introduces Cole. And even though I can not say why I dislike that character so much... even though I do know he was very important to the series... I just can't get into that character for anything in the world. Over-all I definitely enjoyed this season... but I wouldn't say it is my favorite season. Unfortunately there is no real extras in this set. All you get is some trailers for other TV Series on disc 1 that they want you to buy. (From Charmed Marathon on June 26th, 2008) |
