The Wedding Ringer, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Kevin Hart as Jimmy Callahan/Bic Josh Gad as Doug Harris Affion Crockett as Reggie/Drysdale Kaley Cuoco as Gretchen Palmer Jorge Garcia as Lurch/Garvey Plot: Doug Harris (Josh Gad) is a loveable but socially awkward groom-to-be with a problem: He has no best man. With less than two weeks to go until he marries the girl of his dreams (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting), Doug is referred to Jimmy Callahan (Kevin Hart), owner and CEO of Best Man, Inc., a company that provides flattering best men for socially challenged guys in need. What ensues is a hilarious wedding charade as they try to pull off the big con and an unexpected budding bromance between Doug and his fake best man, Jimmy. Extras:
My Thoughts: I originally added this one to my collection on the fact that I am a fan of Kaley Cuoco. While this may not be my favorite role for her... I definitely found I enjoyed this one quite a bit. This one isn't exactly what I was expecting going in. But to be fair I knew nothing about it before getting it. I originally expected a romantic comedy... but this is more of a buddy film. More about the groom and the group of guys he hires to be in his wedding party.Over all a fun film... definitely worth the time put in to watch it. Rating: (From April Fool-A-Thon on April 22nd, 2016) Horror of Dracula, a review by AntaresHorror of Dracula (1958) 78/100 - For a Gothic horror film, this really didn't have the atmospheric setting I was used to. Gothic means gray, dingy, musty and loads of dark, creepy cobweb saturated passageways. This film looked like it could have been the setting for a Victorian period drama. But it does give the viewer the needed suspense that makes the Dracula story so popular. I've read that a lot of people feel that Christopher Lee is the consummate Count Dracula, but by judging by what little screen time he as in this film, I guess those people are talking about his subsequent outings in later Hammer films. This is really Peter Cushing's show as Dr. Van Helsing and as usual, he plays it with the reserved intensity that he was famous for in his heyday. The story itself, kind of moves at a somewhat breakneck pace and before you know it, it's over. I've always been a fan of economy in regards to a film's pace and length, but this film could have been given a bit more padding to the story and it wouldn't have been worse for the wear. What the color coding means... Teal = Masterpiece Dark Green = Classic or someday will be Lime Green = A good, entertaining film Orange = Average Red = Cinemuck Brown = The color of crap, which this film is (From Antares' Short Summations on October 14th, 2013) Fear Itself Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdFear Itself: The Complete Series 4. The Sacrifice Two brothers, Point and Lemon, along with two of their friends, end up stranded at an old fort and slowly discover that the three sisters who reside there are hiding a deadly secret. Stars: Jeffrey Pierce Jesse Plemons Rachel Miner Mircea Monroe Stephen Martines My Thoughts: This being episode number 1 when it originally aired I of course seen this one before. I am sure it is of no surprise that I enjoyed this episode a lot. Of course I like most shows about vampires. You never really get that good of a look at the creature in this episode... it is always either out of view or the views are so quick that you don't get a good look at him.
