G-Force, a review by addicted2dvd

G-Force
Buckle up for thrilling edge-of-your seat action and laugh-out-loud fun in Disney's family comedy adventure G-Force. Just as the G-Force - an elite team of highly trained guinea pigs - is about to save the world, the F.B.I. shuts the secret unit down. But these next-generation action heroes - Darwin, loyal team leader; Blaster, weapons expert with attitude to spare; Juarez, drop-dead gorgeous martial arts diva; and tag-along Hurley - won't be stopped. Armed with the latest in high-tech spy equipment, and with the F.B.I. on their tails, the fur flies as they race against the clock to save the world. From the producer of the Pirates Of The Caribbean trilogy and National Treasure, and filled with high-octane action, daredevil stunts, cutting edge special effects and outrageous comedy, G-Force is fantastic fun for the whole family.

My Thoughts:
This is a cute little family film. But I do believe the kids will get more enjoyment from this then the adults. Watching this entire movies I didn't get a single chuckle from it. While it might be a nice movie to buy for my daughter... I don't see buying for myself. Pretty much now that I seen it I don't think I would want to see it again.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Men in Black III, a review by Dragonfire

Men in Black III

Since I liked the first two, I was interested in seeing this one.

Agents J and K are still working together, and sometimes still clashing a bit over how to deal with certain things.  When Boris the Animal escapes from prison, it sets off a series of event that cause J to travel back in time to 1969 to keep Boris from killing K then.

I think this movie can stand alone fairly well, though a few things will probably make more sense if the movies are seen in order.  The idea of J having to travel back in time is interesting and I think it works well overall.  For the most part, this is a fun, entertaining movie, though there are a few moments that are more serious.  There is decent action and a bit of humor, much like there was in the first movies.  Because of the time travel, Tommy Lee Jones is missing for much of the movie.  Josh Brolin does an amazing job as the younger K.  It is like he is channeling Jones, and the result is a character that is a bit different, but still a believable younger version of Jones's K.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie and think it is worth seeing, especially for fans of the first two movies.  Some of what happens is a bit predictable, but the movie is still entertaining.

I did get a longer review posted on Epinions.com.

Stars:

Jennie Garth as Kelly Taylor
Ian Ziering as Steve Sanders
Gabrielle Carteris as Andrea Zuckerman
Brian Austin Green as David Silver

Extras:
  • Scene Access
  • Closed Captioned

My Thoughts:
This is a series I never watched before. But figured it lasted 10 years... there must be something good about it. I went into this one curious but with low expectations. Plus I was looking forward to seeing Shannen Doherty in an early role. Who I became a fan of from watching her in Charmed. I was kinda surprised... I could barely recognize her... took me a few minutes to realize it was her. The show is better then I was expecting and I can see myself collecting the series. But it isn't one I would be super-anxious to complete. Just a good, solid series. Of course this is going only by the pilot episode... my opinion could easily change... either way... with a few more episodes.
