The chilling tale of Dr. Joyce Reardon (Nancy Travis), an obsessed psychology professor who commissions a team of psychics and a gifted 15-year-old autistic girl, Annie Wheaton, to literally wake up a supposedly dormant haunted mansion -- Rose Red. Their efforts unleash myriad spirits and uncover horrifying secrets of the generations who have lived and died there.

My Thoughts:
Not only is this one of my favorite Stephen King miniseries... it is also one of my favorite ghost/haunting movies. I missed this one when it originally aired on TV... but a friend of mine gave the DVD release to me for Christmas when it was released. Since then I have watched it every year during my annual Month Long Halloween/Horror Marathon. If you have never seen this marathon I would highly recommend checking it out!

Well... I think this is where I will call my Stephen King Marathon to an end. I really enjoyed watching all these this past week. Of course I didn't watch anywhere near my entire Stephen King collection... but that is ok... leaves something for the next time I want to do this marathon!

Plot:
Risking everything in search of the ultimate rush is fun when you know you can't die. Angus Sutherland, taking up where brother Kiefer left off in the original cult favorite, is the lead vampire in this modern reimagining of The Lost Boys. The seaside village of Luna Bay is rife with outcasts and plagued by an outbreak of missing persons. As the sun sets, the Tribe rises: a group of adrenalin-fueled, thrill-crazed vampires tears up the surf and the streets with nonstop action. But when a champion surfer (Tad Hilgenbrinck) and his sister (Autumn Reeser) move in, dark secrets erupt into hot-blooded passions and full-blooded fear. Helping fight the forces of hell: Corey Feldman in his signature role of vampire hunter Edgar Frog. Once you join the Tribe, there's no turning back.

My Thoughts:
Before getting this movie I had heard nothing but terrible things about it... but my love for the first movie made me get this one anyway. It is now my second viewing of this one... And I feel the same as I did the first time. I went into this movie hoping to like it... but expecting to hate it. And maybe this attitude going into it is what helped me... because I enjoyed it. No... it is not nearly as good as the first one... but it is a decent vampire movie. Just nothing more then that. This release also has some decent extras including 2 alternate endings... which I got a kick out of.

Voyager gets home with the help from a future Janeway. It is a nice enough final episode for Voyager. Nice to see a possible future, where Voyager did take another 16 years to get home.
What I missing is some kind of coda, where we see what happens to the crew, now that they are back home. We get some idea through some dialog, but I think it could have easily filled up half a season to explore this topic. For example, what happens to the doctor? How will he come to be recognized as a person?
I think to show the alternate future was in some way a good idea to give some hints about their future lives (at least for the ones who did make it home in that timeline).

P/T moments:
The birth of their daughter for once. Then you also see them still happily married in the alternate future. Also Tom refusing Harry's idea for a dangerous mission to explore the possibility to get home on the grounds, that it's too dangerous for him as a husband and father-to-be and that he is already home, is a nice touch.
This concludes the P/T marathon.
