Where he has a razor sharp memory and can memorize an entire telephone directory by just running through the pages, he cannot understand human emotions. Dr. Vasi upgrades Chitti’s processor and simulates human emotions without realizing the repercussions. Chitti gets transformed. He can now feel, and the first feeling that he discovers is Love.

Will this love come in the way of Dr. Vasi’s purpose of creating Chitti?

Will Dr. Vasi’s own creation destroy him?

My Thoughts:
This Kollywood movie is currently the most expensive Indian movie. From the cast I only know the female lead which is the Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai.
This movie is fun. Especially the inventive action scenes, even if the CGI used is not yet the same standard as in Hollywood productions. But I have to credit them how they managed to put the same actor with multiple roles in the same scenes without it being noticable. Besides playing the scientist who built the robot, the male lead also plays the robot. And also the hundreds of the replicas of this robot.
The action gets crazy at times. But the craziest (but fun) part was how the robot seeks out a mosquito and talks it into going to apologize for biting the girl. Sounds really crazy, but it is surprisingly well done.

Koi... Mil Gaya, a review by dfmorgan

Koi... Mil Gaya

Year: 2003
Director: Rakesh Roshan
Cast: Rekha, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta
OverviewWatched: 23rd Apr 2011
My Thoughts: Overall I enjoyed this. The first half detailed the mentally challenged Rohit's (Hrithik Roshan) trials and tribulations leading to a close friendship with Nisha (Preity Zinta), a visitor from out-of-town. However the second half is a version of E.T., there were some differences between the two but overall was very similar to the original. Even with this though I still found it enjoyable.

My Rating: An enjoyable 3

The One Where It All Began: The Pilot Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Due South

What's the show about?
Constable Benton Fraser from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) works as liaison officer in the Canadian consulate in Chicago. He also helps Chicago PD Detective Ray Veccio to solve crimes where he either was made aware of or where his unique skills are essential.

"Pilot"
"If you kill a Mountie, they'll hunt you to the end of the world." After his father was killed, Constable Fraser investigates this "hunting accident" and tracks down a group of hunters who wore new boots, drove a Jeep Wrangler and had big calibre rifles: Americans. He follows their trail down to Chicago and requests to be transferred there. The local police isn't really interested in the case but Detective Veccio helps to uncover that it was a hired hit and the trail leads back to the RCMP.

My Opinion
A cool buddy cop show from the mid-90s which was defined by the different lifestyles and ways of crime-solving of Fraser and Veccio. They were a great team and it was real fun to watch them, especially when Fraser put things in his mouth and Ray was disgusted every time. ;D And I loved the deaf wolf Diefenbaker who could read lips. :)
I can't remember though if I ever saw an episode with Veccio's successor, the new "Ray". But I definitively will do that in the foreseeable future.
