Creepshow, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Creepshow Movie Count: 15 TV Ep. Count: 6 Other Count: 2 Time Started: 4pm Plot:My Thoughts: This is one of my favorite anthology movies. Sure... some of it is right silly but... even so for the most part all the segments are just fun to watch. I think my favorite segment was the one where "A scheming husband plants two lovers up to their necks in terror."... this was the one where Leslie Neilson buried the couple to their necks in the sand on the beach... waiting for the high tide to come. That one then followed closely by the "crated creature" Fluffy. My least favorite has to be the last segment... the one about the bugs. I mean it was ok... just nothing special. But of course I enjoyed all the segments. Normally it is the wrap around story that loses my attention. But this is one of the few that I actually enjoy. My Rating Out of a Possible 5 (From Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon: 2009 on October 7th, 2009) Mean Girls, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Mean Girls: Special Collector's Edition Year: 2004 Director: Mark Waters Rating: PG-13 Length: 97 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, French: Dolby Digital: 5.1, Commentary: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: English, Spanish Stars: Lindsay Lohan Rachel McAdams Tina Fey Tim Meadows Amy Poehler Ana Gasteyer Plot:Extras: Scene Access Audio Commentary Feature Trailers Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes Outtakes/Bloopers Closed Captioned Interstitials My Thoughts: OK... What do I think about this one? Coming freshly out of it... I found it entertaining for sure. But for some reason I was expecting more laugh out loud moments. I found it to be a fun... silly story... but not something to really laugh at. But I did have a good time watching it. Glad I have it in my collection now. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Unwatched DVDs on July 31st, 2010) Supernatural Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdSupernatural: Season 1 EPISODE 1: PILOT "Take me home." Along a lonely California highway, a mysterious woman in white lures men to their deaths - a terrifying phenomenon that may be the brothers' first clue to their father's whereabouts. Guest Stars: Sarah Shahi as Constance Welch Adrianne Palicki as Jessica Lee Moore Samantha Smith as Mary Winchester Jeffrey Dean Morgan as John Winchester My Thoughts: When this series was first announced I couldn't wait for the first episode to air. I really liked how this show introduces the characters. I also liked how this episode uses a well known urban legend to make a story about. Sure that may mean you know where the story is going... and that is true to a point... but they add enough to the story so it isn't predictable. They really did make a good ghost story out of this well known urban legend. I was thrilled the first time I seen this episode... and I enjoyed it just as much now (3rd or 4th time watching it) as I did the first time around.
