My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this one. Maybe because I became interested in Japanese culture and most of the movie is set in Japan.
I found it funny, that Bond was bragging about his language skills, but couldn't even pronounce Sayonara correctly
But even Sake was mispronounced. Why is it, that in English language movies, foreign words almost always get an English touch in the pronounciation?
Was it me, or did Connery fall back to his Scottish dialect for a line there? When he was talking with his "new wife".

My Thoughts:

This is the first Shirley Temple film I have sat through. And I must say... I can see how she became such a child star. She was adorable. I enjoyed this film quite a bit. I liked the entire cast. But I must say I did not recognize Buddy Ebsen in this film! There is a lot of fun characters here. But at the same time you really feel for Shirley Temple's character... especially when she is taken away from the captain and sitting there singing to the doll he carved her... missing him. I would definitely recommend this movie. The DVD I watched this on has both a B&W version and a Colorized version. I of course wanted to see this as it originally aired so chose the B&W.

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 1

2. Lonely Hearts
Another of Doyle's visions leads the newly formed Angel Investigations to a trendy bar where they face off against a worm-like demon who eviscerates its victims.

Guest Stars:
Elisabeth Rohm
Lillian Birdsell
Obi Ndefo
Derek Hughes

My Thoughts:
This is the first episode that has the character of Detective Kate Lockley. It is a pretty good episode... but not what I would call a great one. I liked the introduction of Kate... and it did have some good fight scenes in it. But for some reason it didn't click for me. Maybe because I never been one to frequent bars and clubs. I did however get a kick out of Doyle getting into a bar fight to defend Cordelia's honor. That is another thing... I always disliked Cordelia in the episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. But in this series I like her. Only a little at this point... but she soon grows as a person... and as she does she grew on me as well.
