Get ready for a rough-and-tumble comedy that knows how to kick some serious puck! When a ragtag youth team is on the verge of losing it, their only hope lies with the most outrageous players to ever hit the ice - The Hanson Brothers! Featuring comedy legend Leslie Nielsen and hockey greats Mark Messier and Doug Gilmour, Slap Shot 3 adds an all-new, hilarious chapter to the hardest-hitting, most irreverent sports comedy franchise of all time! Extras: Scene Access Bonus Trailers Deleted Scenes Featurettes The Making of Slap Shot 3: The Junior League, Hockey Legends My Thoughts: Yay! A hockey movie!! Not a great one but it wasn't too bad. Played much like a Family Movie of the Week. Had some feel good moments and decent acting by the mostly teenage cast. The goonery that took place during the games make it completely improbable but no more so than the original Slap Shot. Probably the worst aspect of the film was the Hanson Brothers who just aren't relevant anymore and not funny at all. Cameos by Doug Gilmour and Mark Messier. KC Rating: (From KinkyCyborg's Random Reviews 2010 on July 31st, 2010) Torment, a review by JimmyTitle : Torment (2007) Overview Suzi Lorraine (Chainsaw Sally, Satan's Schoolgirls) plays Laura Wiggington, a woman recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Her husband Ray (Tom Stedham) takes her to an isolated river cottage to recover. There she is stalked by a psychopathic clown named Dissecto (Lucien Eisenach -- Hellbound: Book of the Dead) who performs macabre "tricks" for his literally captive audiences. But does the clown really lurk nearby or only in the dark recess of Laura's troubled mind? My Impression Not too bad except for a very important fact : Clowns aren't frightenning unless you are a teenagers and the clown is John Wayne Gacy. So it was really hard to not laugh even when the clown torture the two Mormons Missionaries, more when we see him making ballons trick and others clown thing before finally killing them. But like I've said this is a good movie where you aren't sure if all of this happen for real or not (to be honest, I have no idea if it is or not). For the obvious budget limitation that the movie had the director had done a nice little suspense. The acting without being great is correct (if we forgive the fact that one of the Missionary looks more bored than frighten when he is tortured). The casting of Tom Stedham as the husband doesn't work for me, he just look too old to be married with Suzi Lorraine. Epiphany Original Air Date: 2/27/2001 After an empty night of passion with Darla, Angel surprisingly wakes up with his soul still intact and has an epiphany. His moment of clarity brings him back to the land of the living and while he tries to reunite with his crew, Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn aren't ready to forgive him, even when their very lives are at stake. Guest Stars: Elisabeth Rohm Christian Kane Julie Benz My Thoughts: Another good episode. Enjoyed it quite a bit. I am just glad Angel is back with his crew. It just didn't feel right when they were apart. Of course they haven't completely forgiven him yet... and he will pay some before it is all over. But at least he is back with them. I also liked Darla's reaction when she found out that Angel wasn't evil after their night together. My Rating: (From Angel Marathon on March 9th, 2010) |
