I Confess, a review by TomTitle: I Confess Year: 1953 Director: Alfred Hitchcock Rating: PG Length: 91 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Mono, French: Dolby Digital Mono, Italian: Dolby Digital Mono Subtitles: Arabic, Bulgarian, Dutch, English, French, Italian Stars: Montgomery Clift Anne Baxter Karl Malden Brian Aherne O. E. Hasse Plot: In Alfred Hitchcock's I Confess, Father Michael Logan (Montgomery CliftAnne Baxter and Karl Malden co-star as a former flame and a police inspector whose attempts to clear Logan only entrap him further. Filmed in Quebec on locations highlighting that city's Old World traditions, I Confess races toward a climax that's unforgettable. And in true Hitchcock fashion, you'll confess to being hooked all the way. *Baxter: Best Supporting Actress (1946) for The Razor's Edge, Malden: Best Supporting Actor (1951) for A Streetcar Named Desire. Extras: Featurettes Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: When I first read the premise of this movie, I thought this one could really be interesting. It was to a certain degree, but somehow it did not really click with me. The actors did a fine job, especially the priest. This time, the dumb character moment comes from the love interest: How could she not see from the beginning, that her story will not really give an alibi to the priest, but only give him a motive in the first place? My Thoughts: While this one is definitely over the top... it is a fun and entertaining film with a lot of big stars of the time. Definitely worth the time put in to watch it. Rating: (From July Movie Marathon: Musicals (Yes... You read right!) on July 22nd, 2016) Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom17. Enemies (1999-03-16) Writer: Joss Whedon (Created By), Douglas Petrie (Writer) Director: David Grossman Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), David Boreanaz (Angel), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Kristine Sutherland (Joyce Summers), Harry Groener (Mayor Richard Wilkins), Alexis Denisof (Wesley Wyndam-Pryce), Michael Manasseri (Demon), Gary Bullock (Sorcerer), Eliza Dushku (Faith) A good episode with a surprise twist. Although I am still not sure, if the circumstances of this twist are not just too far fetched (i.e. Giles knowing the demon who did this spell and having him on their side).
