My Thoughts:
I want to start off this review by saying that I have never had the opportunity to see the original 1974 version of this movie. So I can't tell you how it compares to it. But after watching this movie today... I would love to check out the original as I enjoyed every minute of this movie. I found it to be an all around fun movie. It has plenty of laughs and plenty of football action.... with a good storyline to bring it all together. I also liked that they got Burt Reynolds to play the coach in this movie after seeing that he played the part of Crewe in the original movie. I went into this movie with no expectations what so ever.... and came out of it a little surprised how much fun I did have watching it. It's also a good DVD release as there is no audio/video problems and there is a nice selection of extras to go along with it.

This movie was given to me from a very generous friend.... so I want to take this opportunity to say thank you once again. As I really enjoyed this one!

Now I just need to get my hands on the original!

L'avventura, a review by Antares

L'avventura (1960) 60/100 - Lot's of pretty people, lots of pretty shots and lots of time wasted on lots of nothing. It's very rare that I can't wait for a film to end, but this definitely was one of them. Too bad, because I felt that the first 40 minutes showed potential for a very good film. But once they gave up looking for Anna, it becomes meandering and meaningless. I think what bothered me most was how abruptly things would shift from one scene to another. First they're looking for Anna, then when they can't find her, Sandro fixates on Claudia. Claudia, doesn't want to have anything to do with Sandro, but in a blink of an eye, she's madly in love with him. My rating is only for Monica Vitti and for the wonderful cinematography, the film's only saving graces.

What the color coding means...

Teal = Masterpiece
Dark Green = Classic or someday will be
Lime Green = A good, entertaining film
Orange = Average
Red = Cinemuck
Brown = The color of crap, which this film is

Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

SEASON 7: Disc 2

EPISODE 5: ACTION

My Thoughts:
This is an enjoyable episode. It definitely keeps your interest. I thought it was pretty cool making a movie on the Kent farm.

My Rating:

EPISODE 6: LARA

My Thoughts:
An interesting episode. I liked getting to see Clark's real mother. Though I did feel with so much of the background info it was a little on the slow side. But it didn't hamper my enjoyment any at all.

My Rating:

EPISODE 7: WRATH
This is so cool! Lana's ecstatic, but Clark is wary after a fluke lightning strike gives her some of Clark's powers. Our hero soon has reason to be cautious: Emboldened Lana sets out to destroy Lex!

My Thoughts:
An absolutely fun episode! I loved how Clark and Lana uh... destroyed the barn! LOL Besides all the fun there is also a good, interesting story. This is one of my favorite episodes.

My Rating:

EPISODE 8: BLUE
Is human emotion clouding Clark's judgement? He falls prey to ZOR-EL's ruse, leading to a clash at the Fortress of Solitude. The link between Lex and DAILY PLANET editor Grant is revealed!

My Thoughts:
Another good epiosde. I like that they got Helen Slater to play Clark's mother in the episodes that has Lara... after all.. she did play Supergirl in the movie. Though I would admit it is a little on the slow side.
