My Thoughts: This is a movie I have on a Triple Feature DVD release called Gritty Horror Tales. Basically the story of a mother going psycho on her children during a bad case of postpartum depression. For the most part I liked the movie a lot... but there is one downfall for me here. And unfortunately it is a pretty big downfall. I just didn't care about any of the characters. This did take away from the film some. Other then that... the intensity of the story was good. It kept my interest through-out once it got started. Though the first about 20 minutes is a bit slow. Over-all the movie is worth watching. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on June 17th, 2012) Ella Enchanted, a review by TomTitle: Ella Enchanted Year: 2004 Director: Tommy O'Haver Rating: G Length: 96 Min. On the day of her birth, Ella is given a gift from her Fairy Godmother - the gift of obedience, which is also a curse. Under no circumstance can Ella refuse anything she is asked to do, no matter how wicked it may be. Tired of being taken advantage of, Ella, with a talking book as her companion, leaves home to find her Fairy Godmother and return her unwanted gift. This simple errand soon turns into an amazing journey filled with ogres, giants, wicked stepsisters, elves and the plotting of Prince Charmont's evil uncle, who wants to take over the crown and rule the kingdom. Bursting with colorful characters, music, wit and whimsy, Ella Enchanted is a truly enchanting and heart-warming tale that will captivate the entire family. I enjoy this movie each time. I have seen it on average once a year since I got it. Anne Hathaway is just great in it. I think it's sad that she turned her back on these kind of roles.Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on June 28th, 2009) Tom's TV Pilots marathon, a review by Tom

Swallowing his pride, Tony, along with daughter Samantha, become a live-in housekeeper for Angela Bower, a busy ad executive who has little time to look after her home or her young son, Jonathan. Now, Tony's got a full-time job and Angela's household is back in order. Only one question remains: Who's The Boss? Who's the Boss? Season 1.01 Pilot Writer: Martin Cohan (Writer), Blake Hunter (Writer) Director: Bill Persky Cast: Tony Danza (Tony Micelli), Judith Light (Angela Bower), Alyssa Milano (Samantha Micelli), Danny Pintauro (Jonathan Bower), Katherine Helmond (Mona Robinson), Dennis Holahan (Grant Paxton), Rhoda Gemignani (Mrs. Rossini) This is a series I watched in the 90s, mainly because there was nothing else on at the time it was aired. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say it is a must-see. I really found Alyssa Milano attractive towards the end of the series and she was the main reason I stayed with the series. The pilot is a good introduction to the series. Rating: (From Tom's TV Pilots marathon on November 16th, 2012) |
