My Thoughts:

This is another gorgeous film from Studio Ghibli.

Haru, a high school teenager, saves a cat from being run-over. This cat is the son of the Cat King who decides that Haru should be showered with gifts and will be wed to the Prince. Haru hears a voice that advises her to go the the Cat Bureau to get help. At the Cat Bureau Haru enlists the help of The Baron, from Whisper of the Heart, and his friends to solve the problem of her proposed marriage.

Although not a direct sequel to Whisper of the Heart it is a close relation. Studio Ghibli received a commission to produce an animation based on cats for a theme park. Hayao Miyazaki heard about this commission and thought that The Baron and Muta, from Whisper of the Heart, would be ideal for this. He asked the creator of the original manga for Whisper of the Heart, Aoi Hiiragi, to write a manga for this. Aoi Hiiragi did this and it was published as The Baron: The Cat Returns. However the commission fell through and Hayao Miyazaki then decided that this should be turned into a full feature and that one of the new and upcoming directors should handle it.

Yet another 5

My Thoughts:
I couldn't even make it through this garbage. My brother and I tried to watch it... but I ended up turning off after about 20 minutes. And to be honest I am surprised I got as far into it as I did. I know there is a lot of fans of this type of show... but I am definitely not one of them. I found this to be no more then an offensive waste of a film. I personally hated the unneeded offensive language that was every other word even more then all of the music in  it. Matter of fact I hated it so much that I gave the DVD away as soon as I pulled it out of the player. At least I know now that I wouldn't like the series. Not that I am really surprised by the things I have heard about the show in the past. But I found it to be even worse then I ever heard.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
ZERO

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: The Complete Second Season marathon, a review by goodguy

2x07 Brothers of Nablus
Synopsis:
My Rating:

I pretty much agree with Achim's comments and don't have a lot to add.

The real threat in this episode comes from Cromartie, whose reappearance I highly enjoyed.

Well, SkyNet did send Cromartie back to find and kill John Connor, so the synopsis isn't entirely wrong. I too enjoyed him being back in the game and especially those scenes with Jody were great. And nobody does sinister like Dillahunt does.

I also liked that Riley was back, even if she causes John to do foolish things.

...and it is shockingly funny how she [Cameron] deals with the robbers...

In retrospect, the Nablus story was a nice tip-off of what was going to happen.

Sarah at the same time as an unfittingly weak moment.

I wouldn't call it unfitting, on the contrary. As badass as she sometimes appears, she never has killed anyone, not even Dyson in T2. In fact, she is the only one who hasn't. John killed Sarkissian, Derek killed at least Andy Goode, even Jesse just killed Moishe (and in that was as ruthless as Cameron).

Ellison ... The lifting of this story line to a biblical level is a bit out whack and I am not sure what they are trying to say.

I'm not sure either. For Ellison, drawing on the bible is certainly not out of character and the comments from both Cromartie (SkyNet does not believe in you like I do) and Weaver (What good is faith if we don't use it) seem to enforce that. That he compares himself to Job and believes he is tested by God might be his hubris and actually lead him astray.
