Blazing Saddles, a review by addicted2dvd

Blazing Saddles: 30th Anniversary Special Edition

My Thoughts:
Mel Brooks is the king when it comes to making spoofs... and this movie is no exception. I enjoyed every minute of it. Sure some of it my go a little to far on the dumb side... but I think that is just part of the fun. This release has a nice selection of extras... but the only one I checked out... because I was so curios... was the TV Pilot for Black Bart.... which looked to be just as funny as the movie.

Laurie lives with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and has chosen to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. When a young man is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, a cascade of violence and terror is ignited with a final confrontation between Laurie and Michael unlike any ever captured on screen.

My Thoughts:

I went into this one with pretty high expectations, but the beginning of the movie had me a bit worried as there was so little Michael. As the story went on the more I got into it. The more I realized where they were going with it. And the more I was enjoying it. Over all well worth the time put in to watch it. I ended up really enjoying it.

"Due South" marathon, a review by Rick

One Good Man

The return of Mackenzie King, the reporter from Episode 2. I think Pete was looking forward to her return. This time though the character is not played by a brunette but by a blonde (sorry Pete  ). Maria Bello actually. (ER; Coyote Ugly).

Pretty good episode. Nothing great though. We do learn a bit more about Ray's background.
